We celebrated my wife's birthday at this restaurant, with 36 of us all told. To my pleasant surprise, the proprietors permit free choice at the table for such a large number from a slightly restricted menu. This did not impede efficient preparation and unhurrried but well synchronised serving of the tables by charming serving staff. The greatest test of all was the quality of the food, which with such numbers can tend to suffer. Not here though! The chef and his team appeared to be focused on each guest individually. The quality deserved the highest praise. The atmosphere was enhanced by the attractive lay out, combining intimacy with ample room.

Simple, cosy italian restaurant. Excellent pizza's, (too) much choise, thin, crunchy crust and good qualitiy toppings. Good pasta, we tried salmon/ cream and arrabiata, tasty. Good service. One but: all factory made deserts. A pity: disappointment after a good meal and a missed opportunity for us and the restaurant. The real deal: investing in your own, home made desserts, show your love and proudness for fresh, home made food. A plastified desert menu with factory stuff is not what we want.

The pizza is as good as you can get in the Netherlamds, the pasta is delicious, the beer is German and we could sit outside in glorious weather. The only flaw was the confused service. As there was being offered that day a good deal on a pizza, drink and ice cream combination, we got real value for money.
