Good fast food. In a couple of visits I tried hamburger, pizza, ice cream. My friends and myself--we were all satisfied.I haven't tried the upstairs yet which seems to be sushi and some other more upscale food. Seems like a good option for days when I am not in a fast food mood. Also it is quieter up there. We ordered at the counter, but then the service kicked in. Stephan brought food to my table, and promptly brought anything else we needed. He was smiling and attentive and even offered to serve me in quite passable English! My first time in I got a tour of the facilities, and I was happy with the hygiene. No worries on that count it is really clean. Also the manager told me that he eats one meal a day at the restaurant to do his own personal quality control. Also, he has been adapting the regular Steers menu (it is a south african chain) to Kinois tastes. Interesting. They stopped the juicy red burgers because Kinois don't eat meat like that--in Kinshasa people are used to cooking their meat more thoroughly, since electricity and refrigeration of meat is often problematic and thorough cooking is an added protection. Refrigeration is not a problem at this restaurant, but they have adapted to local tastes, and the result is still tasty. Also in my discount pizza (3000 francs congolais, i think that is about $3-- a good price), they added these yummy little sausages. Clearly the management of the restaurant is keen that customers be satisfied, and that is a good sign. This is a good place. And if you want to lounge around you can do it. If on the other hand you only have 20 minutes, you can do that too because service is prompt. I really don,t like going into a restaurant and having to wait more than 30 minutes to eat something. One of the tripadvisor reviews is stuck up on a wall in the restaurant. That gave me the idea to post something.

There used to be two hotels/restaurants you could go to in Kinshasa: the Memling and the Intercon. The Memling is no longer in a good neighborhood, and the Intercon is under new and unskilled management. So the Hacienda (Belgian owned) is, at $150, an alternative; I got $100 for b and b, at an institutional discount. Restaurant serves pricey but generally good continental cuisine for lunch and dinnerThings to like: acceptable breakfasts, normal continental cuisine for lunch and dinner, clean and modern rooms. The connectivity is slow during the day, but speeds up at night. On cable, I got BBC; most other channels were in French.
Traditional italian cuisine. lunch, diner and aperitifs
You won't regret coming to Il Rasentino. Perhaps the best Italian food I've had in the DRC. The meals are prepared faster than most places I've been and the quality is superb. Try the pizza - the crust is soft and the taste will make you want to come back again. The prices are very reasonable and the staff have great customer service. The balcony offers a nice view of Goma, especially at sunset. You won't regret coming here for a meal.
Cuisine
The Hevea is a beautiful restaurant in front of the Hôtel du Fleuve's swimming-pool. As you can tell by its full name, the Hevea is an Italian restaurant: their specialities are pasta and pizzas, but refined. It is a four or maybe even five-star restaurant. Everything you eat or drink here is meticulously chosen. The plates are beautiful and a relish to the palate. I had tagliatelles with shrimps and vegetables. My girlfriend had a carbonara. The carbonara was not on the menu, but the Italian Chef agreed to cook it. While waiting for our order, we had focaccia with tapenade. As a dessert, I took a 'tarte Tatin', which is a flat apple pie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. It was delicious. The staff was diligent, helpful and smiling. It is difficult to be more professional than that...On one side, you have the wonderfully turquoise swimming-pool. On the other, you can see the illuminated bridge of Brazzaville. It costs about $70 for two people (2 soft drinks, 2 main courses, 2 desserts). That's not overpriced, considering the high quality of the setting, the service and the food. I suggest you to go at night. Dear Steeve, thank you for visiting our Hevea Italian Restaurant. We are hapyy to see that you have appreciated the Cuisine of our Chel ALDO who is always here to please our client to have a nice experience with us. Best Regards, Vincent

Not many restaurants pass the standards of the expats in Goma but this one does. They have variety of foods and the place is quite neat and cozy. The serving portion is big and the price is affordable. The service staff are very nice, too.The only setback are the uninvited mosquitoes. You better use some mosquito repellants or wear long sleeves and socks.

At Sir Harry's, there is a restaurant, lounge and hall. It offers a magnificent view of the Fleuv e Congo, a beautiful setting and personalized service. On the 6th level, open-plan restaurant offers a varied menu; Continental, Indian, Chinese, pizza and B
The restaurant is located on the sixth floor of a modern building in an open air terrace with a good view of Kinshasa and the Congo river. The food portions are aplenty and fairly tasty but not on the cheap side, especially considering that the establishment still charges you at the Dollar equivalent of 1000 FC when it is exchanged everywhere at the rate of one Dollar to 1220 FC. My other concern is that the restaurant seems to be a sort of Jack of all trades, but not really master of none. There are too many types of cuisine listed for the restaurant's chef to be exceptionally good at any, The overall decor of the restaurant seems also out of character with the type of cuisine offered: Egyptian sculptures and hieroglyphs?? Last bot not least and despite the modernity of the building, the apparent pipes here and there, the broken tiles in the mens room, the wobbling faucets mar a feeling that could otherwise be near total satisfaction

The chalet offer local and international food into a moderne cadre with an amzing garden and view on lake Kivu. Buffet every Sunday from 12h to 15h Buffet Pita or Lebanese every Wednesday before Djo's Bar. Happy hour form 7PM to 8PM evry every Wednesday.
The only thing good in Le Chalet is that it is where all foreigners meet on Wednesday for the buffet. But buffet: very average food even if cheap comparing Goma prices standards.Pizza is one of the worst in Goma. Call it a tart but that is not a pizza.Menu is poor. Meat arrived too cooked.Happy hour at the bar cover only few drinks including watery cocktail. Not recommended at all except if you want to meet people from all NGOs and organizations in Goma

Enjoyed a lovely dinner at O'Poeta on the weekend where they had live music playing. It gets crowded on a Sunday. The food was brought out in a timely manner and the pizza was amazing. Customer service was outstanding - I think I found my go to place while in Kinshasa. I've done delivery a few times from O'Poeta and each time they arrive in less than an hour. I highly recommend going to O'Poeta for a great meal.

Casa Mia is an Italian restaurant in the Gombe district of Kinshasa just along from the Pullman hotel. It is a restaurant designed with a touch of class though its food offerings are just ok rather than delicious. The private area of the restaurant sits behind sliding glass doors. It contains dozens of bottles along the shelves which at first glance make for a nice backdrop but it is pretty easy to spot the repition as there are only around four different marques amongst them. The private area is useful though as it is quietier than the main area and also less prone to smoke inhalation as it appears that the restaurant permits smoking. The main area is a clean white colour all round and does still have a well-defined and pleasant scheme. The exterior is also nice with a little pathway into the restaurant but not especially dramatic.Service is attentive and quick though payment at the till is frosty and unwelcoming. Conversation is limited aside from the amusement at a French speaking Congolese person correcting pronounciation by using the proper Italian word for a food item. Food came out relatively quickly and in good order. Breads and olive oil were on the table. There are a couple of vegetarian options so it is possible to make a bit of a choice. A mushroom pizza is ok. The pizzas come up pretty large so they are filling. There was a touch of flavour added to the mushrooms but it was not overly noticeable. The base pizza itself was somewhat plain and did not have any additional garnishings or herbs. It was medium cooked, not too crunchy. As a meal it was sustaining though not especially exciting. The price reflects Kinshasa's costs. It is too much for what is a relatively basic pizza. Still, the pizzas are cheaper than the pasta options. While Casa Mia is not fine dining, it offers large portions and a decent atmosphere. An acceptable version of Italian in this part of the world.

For the second time now I was dining in the Limoncello restaurant with colleagues (both Congolese and Belgian). All were fond of the fine Italian meals! You will be received there quietly. The menu offers you a very wide choice of the well-known Italian cuisine. The prices are not low, but you get super good food served! Their pizzas are baked à la minute and are highly recommended. With a fine real Limoncello (from the house) you can finish your successful evening.
