Love, love, love this place. Start with the historic charm of an old tavern, made fresh with reclaimed boards, stonework and an inviting interior. The menu features pizzas and salads, and was the first we ever had with fresh mozzarella. One salad could easily be shared by two people. My son ate the entire Caesare salad and he's picky. My husband loved the antipasta, saying that the prosciutto and cheeses were very good. We really enjoyed the Amatriciana pizza. The pizzas are 12 inches and 8 slices which can be shared, depending on how hungry you are. It is BYOB, but what we were impressed with is the selection of fountain sodas - with lots of flavors. I have two personal concerns with pizza. I get terrible heartburn after, and I feel really bloated the next day. After a meal here, I only had a touch of heartburn, and no bloat the next day. If you are looking for a glutton free menu, you should be satisfied. On a final note, I like when they calculate the suggested tips for you at the bottom of the receipt. One small concern - the artsy font they use for the menu does make it a little hard to read. After your meal, take a drive in this historic area to really feel as if you've been away. Would highly recommend.
Much of the food here is the same old uninteresting, lost in time Italian.Basically it is stick to your ribs food.............pizza with no new flavors, herbs or good crust............pasta, not homemade,...........and plenty of fried foods. It is definitely food that appeals to an 8 year old palate.Wait staff are nothing to rave about .

We finally made it down from Bergen County and it was worth the ride! The pies are really very thin and crunchy. The tomato sauce is top notch and the toppings were excellent. The pepperoni and sausages were high quality. The salad was a good start. Very friendly wait staff. All good!!

My fatherâs dream has now transformed into more than he ever expected. Although much has changed, much remains the sameâ¦each day you can expect to see one of our faces, adding a personal touch to traditional Italian dining, creating an intimate experience
I'm always looking for restaurants staffed with creative chefs who think outside the box. The menu at Villaggio Iccara told me this was going to be one of those hoped for experiences. Items such as Spaghetti Positano (Sautéed manila clams, artichokes, sausage, Pinot Grigio & garlic sauce) under Pasta selections & Pistachio-Crusted Chicken Breast in a Dijon-Thyme cream sauce with Risotto offered a series of new taste treats. After due consideration, we opted for 2 forms of Bruschetta - one the standard w/ chopped tomato, garlic & basil & the 2nd w/ Caponata. Both were good, but I especially loved the piquant flavors of eggplant, & pickled veggies in the latter. My husband's dinner choice was Chicken Marsala w/ pasta which he declared a winner - its flavor actually tasting of its namesake wine, rather than just some commercial bouillon cube. I was hungry for seafood & ordered Cernia Marechiari (pan-fried grouper served in puttanesca sauce w/ pomodoro, capers & olives) served w/ risotto. I would have been happier had my risotto been delivered on a separate dish, because the texture & flavor were lovely by themselves & not really enhanced by the Puttanesca Sauce - but that was a minor complaint easily rectified. In the future, I'll simply ask for the risotto to be served separately. Overall, the dish was very good. The restaurant was busy the night of our visit - both in its dining room & its pizza takeout department. Highly recommend.

I'm a little spoiled by all the excellent pizza restaurants in the Trenton and Princeton area, none finer than my local establishment, Via Roma II. The Trenton Tomato Pie is amazing with lots of flavor, ask for extra garlic in the sauce, as they recently toned it down a few notches. The thin crust consistency is just right with any combination of pie toppings, and the thick sicilian pie is crunchy and light. What is unique about Via Roma II's pizza crust is that the leftover pies reheated in the toaster oven (on the lower level location-wise) is possibly even better, as the thin crust becomes crunchier.

This is one of the best in the United States. They make a pie that has hints of mustard in it and is so darn delicious. Their buffalo chicken cheesesteak is also great and they serve the freshest salads. Cash only at this historic restaurant. I highly recommend with family and friends.

Anthony's pizzeria is in the middle of the new Egypt. The sub sandwiches are delicious and the dinner are filling. You can't go wrong with any of the food from ANTHONY'S
Tried the place just because it was close by. And, ordered the quickest thing to take home, pizza. The surprise is that it is the best pizza I've had since forever. Everything was perfect, the sauce, the cheese, and the meats. You can order by phone OR, you can walk in and order by the slice. For the convenience, for the money, and for the palate, this place is simply awesome.

Have enjoyed the Italian Villa many times over the years. It is family owned and operated which makes the staff super friendly and attentive.Their homemade pastas are excellent. Whether its just a slice of pizza and soda or a sit down dinner with wine, we've never had a bad meal. It is a BYOB , the prices are reasonable and the food excellent.

This restaurant has a large pizza counter with many different options that were easy on the eye. I found the restaurant section to have a significantly lower standard. Many of the pasta dishes have so much sauce that they are served in soup bowls. The bread is rather hard and tasteless. We were 15 people at the last sitting, and everyone had something different, and everyone said it was OK, but no one raved about the food.
