The Boathouse Grille is a seasonal waterfront restaurant located at Shady Harbor Marina on the Hudson River. The restaurant includes an expansive outdoor deck for cocktails and beautiful waterview dining. Open for lunch and dinner with a large menu includ
In years past, the Boathouse was our "go to" dinner destination and we happily dined at least once a week on the deck. We finally had a chance to go this season and were extremely disappointed. The service was terrible, the server was slamming plates on the tables, our drinks were never refilled and we had to beg for the check b/c the server never came back after dropping off the food. If the place was busy, I could possibly understand it, but there were a total of 6 tables on the deck and 3 servers wandering around. The food took forever and was mediocre at best - a far cry from what we came to expect from years of dining at the Boathouse. The only bright spot was the view and the always cheerful hostess. Sadly, it will be a long time before we come back, if ever.Chrissie,We are so sorry to hear that your visit was so subpar. We are truly surprised as this time of year has our most experienced staff and I would like to hear more offline about your experience. Please feel free to contact either myself or my wife Kathy at the restaurant so we can hear your story and perhaps give you a special opportunity to give us another chance and set things right. We work hard everyday to provide a special experience, when we fall short, we want to learn from it. Have a great day and we hope to hear from you.Brian and Kathy Donovan
Very happy with our meal this evening, especially it being the only place open in town this Tuesday night. Chef made accommodations and cooked a tasty vegetarian pasta for me that was not on the menu, which I appreciated very much. My husband said the wings were okay, nothing spectacular but fine. Enjoyed a glass of wine and beautiful view, and the service was prompt and friendly.

This used to be a terrific place. Iâve given it a number of additional chances. Tonight is the absolute last chance. Service is ridiculous. We were forced to order appetizers and salads because we needed to get to a movie in an hour. I had been hoping to have an actual dinner. I donât care for the hard rock music. Salad was pretty wilted. Husband had a panini he liked but the French fries were not cooked. My friend couldnât even finish her soup. Never. Ever. Again.

LaBella's is a long time Hudson favorite. Unfortunately it's just not so great anymore. I was there a few months ago for dinner and then again last week for pizza. The dinner I had was okay but not even hot. The same with the pizza last week. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't hot. Service was pretty awful both times, but they did have a help wanted sign up for wait staff. I hope they can get their act together.

Oak Pizzeria Napoletana is a southern Italian eatery serving authentic neapolitan pizzas, vast selection of small plates (antipasti), terroir driven wines and craft brews.
This is a surprisingly sophisticated Italian spot along antiques row, perfect for a leisurely lunch. In addition to excellent pizzas of all varieties, they offer some nice vegetarian side dishes that can be ordered to accompany the main course or stand alone as your meal. We sampled the Delicata squash, braised kale and Brussels sprouts, all prepared with a creative, assured touch. Their wine selection is extensive and reasonably priced. The staff is personable and the decor very attractive.

Stopped in here on a road trip and the good was great and came out super fast! Loved the Mozzarella Triangles, fried chicken was great and wings were pretty good! Not too far from the highway, we will be back!

My wife and I stopped for lunch on a Saturday afternoon.Place was busy.I started with a cup of pretty split pea soup served with a slice of warm sourdough bread. Very ggod start. For lunch my wife ordered the Panini alla Norma which was very good; grilled eggplant, tomato, pesto on gluten free bread. Most restaurants will not grill the gluten free so this was a treat.I went with Dawn's Delight salad: apple, dried cranberries, toasted walnuts, Gorgonzola over a bed of mixed greens and served with a balsamic vinaigrette dressing. Very, very good. The waitress seemed a bit indifferent but the food was good.Definitely worth a try.

Sandwiches, wraps, soups, pizza - great stop for lunch, parties, or quick dinner. This is a deli. Has limited seating. Primarily for take out. Also features moderate grocery shopping. Friendly staff, clean, open 7 days a week. Can order food for parties, etc with advace notice.

My wife and I have stopped here several times over the years on our way to visit family. The service was usually spotty but the food was good. The last couple times we have stopped here for lunch, it took 10 minutes for a server to even come to ask for a drink. Then it took at least 30 minutes to get our food. The last visit my wife and I both ordered a roast beef sub which we figured would get our food to us faster. We were wrong. Compared to what we can get at other places for a sub sandwich (for the price), the amount of meat was pitiful. The tomatoes were sliced so thin that you could see through them. We've had some excellent meals here but the last two visits have been disappointing. I would like to say they are understaffed and this last visit, there appeared to be only 2 servers working the initial lunch crowd. The previous time, there were lots of servers who were standing around chatting or checking their smartphones vice checking on their tables. Like I said, they used to be a treat to eat at but the last two visits have motivated us to look elsewhere going forward. I know they can turn it around.

We came for dinner during Greene County's Restaurant Week 2019. I'm very glad we visited this establishment as the food was phenomenal !!! Mike was our server, very attentive without being bothersome. We started with a tossed salad and sausage soup, appetizers were Meat Ball Tascas and Pepperjack Cheese Sticks. My wife and I both had the Sicilian Rollatini Eggplant w/ Pasta. Key Lime pies for dessert. Large portions and perfectly done. A definite deal for $25.00. We will be back again.
