I grew up on Sicilian style thick crust pizza, so the current rage of super thin cracker crust pizza has led me to endless despair. Enter Hungry Howies and itâs flavorful crust pizza! They specialize in crusts that are delicious on their own and thick enough to please folks like me. They have eight different flavors. (I believe you can get standard crust pizzas as well, so donât stay away because I am emphasizing the pan pizza. Check out their menu.) I chose the garlic flavored crust and really enjoyed it. Good mushrooms, good onions...a flavorful pizza. Still not my grandmaâs, but a happy find for me. There are a few tables in the very clean wait area, but this is largely take out and delivery.

I was in Covina and found Monstrous Pizza in a large strip mall with lots and lots of food choices. Monstrous Pizza caught my attention. Simple but inviting entrance. The large one topping pizza for $7.99 really caught my attention. Monstrous is a takeaway pizza place with a large menu including wings and other items. I place my order and had my pizza in less that 15 minutes. The cashier was friendly. You can't beat the price if you are on a budget. I liked the thin crust. I ordered a mushroom pizza and they were generous with the toppings. The pizza was definitely large. No size issue there. I wanted pizza and it was a nice treat. Above average and good.

I was so happy to enjoy a great meal again last night at Red Devil. We arrived around 615 to beat the dinner rush and it did get busy after that. We had a great pizza and cheese breadsticks which never disappoint.

A pleasant surprise trying out an Italian Restaurant outside our normal distance. A pizza place atmosphere, however, the food exceeded expectations. Delicious Lasagna, Chicken Marsala, and a pink pasta. Outstanding salad, fine Chianti Red Wine and superior bread. Prices were well within our range.
