Things to do in Cottesloe
On first glance this little restaurant tucked away down a side alley looks like a tin shack somebody's Italian nonno scrounged up from anything he could find- bits of old pluming pipes, corrugated sheeting, old tin signs, no furniture matching - you get the idea. Smoke billows out of the pizza oven in the back corner and the fairy lights all twinkle in the darkness. The hostess is rich, lush and larger than life, and her hospitality is awesome. None of this counts for much if the food is no good, but the food is marvellous. There's pizza or salad, so don't go expecting anything else. You can BYO if you want an alcoholic drink, otherwise there's a small choice of bottled drinks or plenty of ice and water. We had gorgonzola and pear and also a margherita, both made on organic spelt base. They were busy so we had a bit of a wait but the people-watching was fantastic. It's certainly not boring. We just demolished the pizzas. They were fantastic. Don't miss Jamel's if you're in the western suburbs any time soon.

Will never go back Arrogant waitresses not friendly at all !! Had prawns which I donât think were Australian prawns and had my first ever food reaction in my life ,, the cocktails are Not cocktails they are just spirits with a mixer ,, what a long journey for a waste of time !!Hi jayr658,Thank you for taking your time to write us a review. We are sorry that you did not enjoy your experience here at Woodpeckers. We are disappointed that you have decided to leave us your complaints here, despite our efforts to accommodate your requests - basically customising a pasta of your own with cream, chilli and seafood, the waitress was also going back from the table to kitchen multiple times to make sure that the chef would be okay to make an exception and cook a dish that was not on the menu, checking with your table a few times throughout the evening and asked if things were enjoyable; yet we did not manage to get any feedback that could help us get things fixed on the spot for you.Cocktails that you've ordered, Tennessee Mule and Sex on the beach, were both made by the bar manager with over 10 years experience with our popular recipe using juices, liquors, vodka, ginger beer. Could you please let us know what else were you hoping to have included in the cocktails? We look forward to your response.Regards,The Woodpeckers Team

Ordered a large takeaway 'Tina' for 2 with olives and pineapple added. The only ingredient in abundance was the rocket ! Topping was almost missing, with almost no tomato or cheese. Ok the prosciutto, with a meagre scattering of pineapple and olives on no more than 2/3 the surface. This offering was plainly thrown together without even the care to cut it into workable slices. Never before had to fill up with Vegemite toast. This is our local where we have previously eaten well, admittedly some time ago. Better offerings in Claremont and Nedlands.

We're pretty proud of our Fremantle brewery and we welcome visitors from far and wide every day. Grab a Pale Ale and a pizza and soak in the brewery chaos or wander out into the backyard to enjoy your beer and nosh in the sunshine. You could also head to
We did this on the new Friday 6pm slot- it was great! Itâs different from other brewery tours as Little Creatures is quite new (vs the historical brewery tours weâve been on). Our tour guide Hamish clearly loved giving us insight into Perth/WA beer life- he was great! Plus the tour gave us a sample of everything they had on tap! Also, not a bad view watching the sunset. We swung over to the restaurant after for a delicious supper. Great tour, great food, overall a win and for only $20!

Youâll find Cottesloe hotspot, Canteen Pizza, just down the road from itâs big brother Il Lido. This Neopolitan-style beachside pizza joint combines the sounds of the crackling custom-built wood fired oven to a cool playlist. The menu a healthy mix of DOP
On a stunning Autumn day we popped into Canteen Pizza for lunch and were lucky enough to grab a table outside overlooking the beautiful Indian Ocean. Hubby ordered the Porchetta (there is Traditional or Pistachio), he chose Pistachio and was in food heaven! I chose 2 smaller dishes, Sardines and the Brussel Sprouts. The sardines were absolutely divine with the most amazing, exquisite and fresh flavours. It was so, so good that I had to take the Brussels as a takeaway as couldnât fit them in and didnât want to ruin the flavours lingering from the sardines!! Teenagers had pizza and loved those too!! A perfect meal on a perfect day! We canât wait to go back!!! Bellissimo

Fully licensed restaurant serving local beer, wine, cider and coffee. Using our woodfire oven and the open flames to create simple and honest food, allowing the produce speak for itself. Sourcing only quality, seasonal produce while supporting WA growers
Manuka Woodfire Kitchen is clearly doing very well, appearing fully booked at the second (7.30pm) dinner sitting on a Tuesday evening. The food was generally very good and our group of nine shared plates of many different dishes from prawns to salads and pizzas. My only complaint would have been a heavy hand on the salt in a couple of dishes and serving the aged fetta, honeycomb and macadamia dish mid-way through, rather than at the end, when it was clearly sweet and more of a dessert.Booking ahead is strongly recommended and service is quick and efficient.

Propeller has been established in an old bus mechanics shed built on what used to be the botanical garden for the former North Fremantle Town Hall. An indoor/outdoor venue adjacent a small park, our aim is to become the "village square". A place where peo
There was so many things we wanted to try as we rarely have Mediterranean cuisine. The flatbread was simply divine! I would have kept on ordering if we hadnât already ordered so many other dishes. The mini pizza with the smoked salmon was gorgeous. It was a very well balanced lunch ending with some sweet homemade ice cream.
