The population was 4,991 at the 2010 census. All of this population resided in the Columbia County portion of the city. Columbus is located about 28 miles (45 km) northeast of Madison on the Crawfish River. It is part of the Madison Metropolitan Statistical Area. Nearly all of the city is located within the town of Columbus in Columbia County, though a small portion lies within the town of Elba in Dodge County.

Columbus is infamous for poor advertising of whatever attractions they have - the biggest antique mall in Wisconsin is quietly hiding just off the major highway, where you can drive by every day all your life and never know it's there. So when this brewery opened, I found out about it in Madison newspaper. Even though I visit Columbus almost every week, I would not have known this brewery opened up if not for that paper article. When trying to find the place I had hard time too - it's hiding in plain site, with few attributes of brewery on the outside, and to find it one needs to know exact address, or you will just drive by (I did few times before finally noticing it). Once there though, the beer is good, and I got my favorite cheese/meat board there (there are two kinds of them available).

Had a pizza delivered and used the online order system. System was easy to use. Ordered a Goodfellas za and it was delivered in 40 minutes. Happy with the delivery time and the driver. Pizza was hot and very good. Will order again.

The staff is friendly, the shelves are well stocked with convenience, travel, gift items and great foods, hot and cold, plus they just added a new Beverage Bar at Columbus West Travel Center which features a variety of Rononco Coffees, tea, soda, lemonade, and more. Complimentary coffee, soda or shower, when truckers fill-up with minimum $ 50.00 diesel purchase.

we do order from Day One in Columbus. I would rate the quality as average and the price is reasonable. It is very average and don't have high expectations for flavor. If all you are looking for is pizza filler for your appetite, this place is fine. My favorite is Glass Nickel.
