We came to this restaurant because we had problems finding veggie food in Chinon. And you can always find a veggie pizza. We didn't expect much as it was not selling itself as a hip "bistronomie" joint but we were pleasantly surprised to be served quickly by a smiling helpful waiter who served a VFM meal. I would recommend this restaurant for people who are looking for a reasonably priced simple meal. I would gladly return there for a pizza and a chat with the chef.**
Very good food and service. Patient waiters with our limited french! We went with a group of 16 people. Able to book on the day.

Enjoyed a lovely meal in this warm and welcoming restaurant. Food was delicious and cooked fresh. Desserts were enormous but thoroughly enjoyed. Service was with a friendly smile. There was a lovely atmosphere and clearly popular. Highly recommend.

We showed up here on a Sunday evening, got a table in the small interior and watched amazed as line upon line of customers were served with pizzas-to-go. The restaurant has a huge output if this was anything to go by and it was run that evening by 2 chefs and 1 front desk person. We had an array of drinks, the old-fashioned "pichet" came into its own. And we had an array of different pizzas - from a long list - cooked to perfection and very tasty. Telephone and collect or go the long route and sit and eat inside - whichever, it was good.

Had two pizzas, two pastas and a bresaola for lunch, as a party of five. There was outdoor seating, which was comfortable enough. The service was very good and there was an excellent selection on the menu. Please be aware that this establishment specialises in Italian food, there is a deli as well and you can buy things as well. The whole place was clean and very presented. The dishes are slightly expensive but there was a good amount of food. A whole pizza was a bit too much for the thirteen year old in the party. Similarly we up sized the pasta so it was the 200g pasta portion, granted it was an adult portion, but it was too much for an eleven year old with a good appetite. The child portion was therefore maybe a little small but the adult a little too much. Fantastic food all round and if in Chinon it is definitely somewhere to have a meal. It's a lovely town, wonderful chateau and the old medieval town is worth walking to.

Very relaxed and casual- a nice break from all the classic french cuisine around. Loved the pizza and green salad, and great service!
