Strolling along the road, looking for a pizza place, we came across Capo Borgo. It was filled with locals - a good sign. The variety of pizza's is enormous and the place soon filled up and with loads of take-away boxes going out it soon confirmed to be the place away from the tourists. In fact we were the only tourists. Thin based pizza, with adequate toppings and friendly service. No additional cover charge, it was affordable and pleasant.

Davide and the staff serve up delicious meals! We have eaten there numerous times for the past few years. Try the trofie al pesto, the pizza, the bronzino, the cheese foccaceta.... all mouth watering dishes! If you have the chance to visit this lovely town of Lavagna, make sure that you eat at this restaurant!

Tasteful Greek plates, big portions and honest prices make this restaurant a good alternative to classic pizzeria. Just two bad points: location and courtesy of waiters rather âcoldâ with foreigners!

Popped down to this restaurant twice we were in Chiavari, on the recommendation of a local. We sat outside both times and it's great to people watch, there's a railway trundling through (not as noisy as it sounds as infrequent but atmospheric). Litre of local wine â¬7 ! I ate prawns with zucchini and penne which was so flavoursome and fresh, my husband had a seafood risotto he liked very much. There are over 140 restaurants in Chiavari (which is a wonderful destination ) but it's worth dining here one night too

Maybe it wasn't so terrible, but based on the previous reviews, our expectations were set up high. Anyway, the worst insult to a good quality pizza were canned mushrooms. Poor quality ingredients, nothing memorable about the dough. Service was just ok.

Our local pizzeria and restaurant, is composed of two very large rooms and an outdoor summer. As soon as you enter you can see the bar, the showcase of appetizers and especially the large wood-burning oven. The second room, known as the aquarium is very l
We arrived in Chiavari after a day in Cinque Terre and were looking for a pizza. We happened across the La Bitta about 8pm (normal Italian dinner time) and walked in to see if there were any places for us. You'd think we were robbing the place - even though it was essentially empty 4 servers/waitstaff stared at us like we were from Mars. After they moved into action the food was very good (Calzone Capricossa) and service was very good as well. Just be prepared to be stared at a little.thanks for the review. maybe there was a misunderstanding in the hour of arrival ...I hope to see you soonthe ownerGlauco

Fantastic food in vibrant surroundings. Despite little English spoken, managed to order meal. Delicious food; LARGE portions. Pasta dish, king prawns, Gorgonzola and penne and four cheese focaccia. Great ambience.Must be authentic as restaurant full of Italian families, all eating and seemingly enjoying food.Would definitely recommend a visit.

Frittura impeccabile: asciutta e croccante all'esterno.

We stayed in Lavagna for a long weekend and asked our receptionist about best pizza in town. She said it's in Chiavari, about 20 minutes walk, but it worth. She was definitely right. We had no reservation but got a table on the terrace for 1,5 hours. The staff barely speaks english, for me it was a sign that we are at the right place..:DIf you are lucky enough, you can sit on the other side of the street and watch the sunset over the mountains. We have tried the pesto pizza (of course) and the 4 formaggi. Both were fantastic especially with the vine we chose. For desert I tried the ananas (pineapple with a super delicious vanilla icecream).

We are a small family run restaurant. We are 5 minutes walk from the sea and the city center. Our specialties are pizzas, local dishes and dishes from Friuli Venezia Giulia. We offer nice events theme nights. Dogs are welcome. Reservations recommended.
Lovely little restaurant just slightly away from the main centre of Chiavari. Great pizza selection with a mixture of bianca and tomato bases, along with a decent pasta choice and antipasti. My husband loved his 'white' pizza and I enjoyed my local specialty panseti con salsa di noci, both of high quality along with the really good bread that came with the cover charge. Just be aware that the staff speak little to no English (not a problem for us as we wanted to practise Italian and came armed with offline Google translate) but the dessert selection wasn't on a menu and I only understood two or three things being said and there was no cabinet to view. If you have it on a card at least you can translate the words. Overall a great experience and we would go back.
