They have been very accommodating and gave us a table with a view. Nice touch. Service is OK. Grilled octopus appetizer is very good. Cotoletta is OK. Grilled vegetables are OK. Basic dessert selection. Good wine by the half bottle. For the food, I give it a 3. The accomodati of, a 5. The noise level, a 2 (very busy and very loud, impossible conversation).

Even though this restaurant is not located along the beautiful lake nor do you have a view to it, it is still worth enjoying lunch or dinner there because of its atmosphere and panorama from the terrace. The menu offers plenty of delicious pizzas and changes frequently for specials. For me most important is the kids friendly surrounding especially for lunch but you are still welcome for dinner. Inside it is also very cozy and modern. Waiting time is good and since we go there every time being in the area, we never made a bad experience.

Supposed to be the best pizza! A big disappointment. Large pizza with big dough crust. The centre however was swimming in tinned tomatoes, so it was more like pizza soup. Base was sopping wet and soggy. Service was mediocre. We didn't know what we wanted at the beginning so the waitress disappeared and left us waiting.

There are some miserable reviews for this restaurant. If you want lovely fresh cooked Italian food then go here. Tagliata and pasta bolognese were lovely.Clearly not the views are not the Hilton up the road but it is so far up itâs own [email protected] you

We were recommended this place and stopped in for a mid afternoon lunch. The area and restaurant are beautiful, facilities clean, service was great. Unfortunately I can't say the same for the food. The restaurant says pizzeria on it yet pizza is only served from Wednesday to Friday? I found that odd. To be fair I'm not sure if this is only for lunch and maybe at night pizza is served. Our meals: - Spaghetti with small meatballs in a tomato sauce with a few peas in it.- Regular tomato sauce pasta.- Pork scallopini. The tomato sauce in both were very acidic. Two separate meatballs were loaded with tendons that made them very hard to chew. The pasta and pork tasted like they were reheated and not made fresh for us. The pork had that crust that forms on the edge of the meat when you reheat it. Last small detail, the bread they served was stale and had that dry outside layer when cut and left out to get old.

Carlinos Ristorante is walking distance from my favorite Hotel Garni Cento situated in the midst of central Chiasso right across the Italian border in Switzerland. Carlinos is a perfect destination for a relaxing and romantic evening or dinner out with the family. Serving specialty Italian pasta dishes and fantastic oven fired pizzas, I was delighted by the warm, welcoming staff. No one here spoke English but made every effort to accommodate our party. As an added bonus, there is an old fashioned pinball machine in one corner, which the locals refer to as "flipper"! This was my favorite restaurant in Switzerland. Carlinos in Chiasso is magnificent!!!!! Sent from my iPad
