Good variety of food available - pizza, salads, chicken, potatoes, gravy, vegetables - making it easy to find what your taste buds are looking for. Pricing is reasonable and table busing was fast - taking plates away quickly when done and ready to move on. Have eaten at several and you know what you will find. Quality is fairly even in all the places we have stopped.

If you want something different than standard pizza, this is the place. Look online for great specials. I personally tend towards veggie pizza and like the one they offer. I am not as big of a fan of some of their other options, but my family is. So it offers a lot of variety. The crust is thin and tasty.

I went to this place on a Monday night. It was after 7pm and was the only customer. I asked how late are they open and they told me 8pm. I was still able to order food. This place seats 68 people comfortably. They offer Pepsi products. They have ten different tap beers. Some of them are local craft beers. Nice, spacious seating and tastefully decorated on the interior. Their menu for pizza is one of three types of crust: New York(thin); Detroit and Chicago style(deep dish). The former crust takes about ten minutes to bake the crust. The latter takes about 30 minutes. Having never been a fan of thin crust I thought I'd give this place a chance. BY far, THIS place offers the BEST tasting pizza in the downtown Cedar Rapids area. Let me tell you folks, from my personal experience this pizza place rules. Fresh ingredients and a great crust makes for one great tasting pizza. Their menu also offers two sandwiches, a Italian Grinder and a Meatball sub. They offer two salads; Caesar and Spinach. Four specialty pizza choices: Bacon cheeseburger; Meatball; Taco and a Queen Margherita. They have a veggie combo and something called a "Pick 6" combo where you can make your own. They have garlic and cheese bread; and for dessert a Triple Chocolate Fudge cake. They also have downtown delivery available. Flexible hours are Mon thru Thursday 11am to 8pm; Friday & Saturday 11am to 10pm an closed on Sundays. Parking is the problem as this place is in the downtown area so spaces are limited. Handicapped and wheelchair accessibility provided as this place has low level or even floor door openings. Bathrooms are neat and clean(at least the mens room was). The staff here are friendly and they know their stuff. Helpful. My compliments to the chef as my pizza was awesome! They also have two large screen tvs on a swivel base so you can move them with ease to wherever you are sitting. In my opinion, this place has THE best tasting pizza in the downtown area.

Let’s be honest. If you’ve been here you know the food isn’t great, but it’s not horrible either. I had a $10 Canadian bacon burger that was pretty good. I got a side salad and a ton of fries. For the price this was a good deal. Everyone else food was decent as well. I love the red booths and rock walls. This place is a classic

If you miss the classic Arcade and pinball games and you want to have a beer and some food while playing the classics.... Quarter Barrel should satisfy what you are looking for.Unfortunately there were a few issues during our visit that make me reluctant to go back. For starters, they were having issues with one of their pizza ovens so there was a slight haze inside and it smelled like burnt pizza. Second, we arrived on a late Saturday afternoon and they were incredibly understaffed as we waited 5-10 minutes for a waitress to recognize us, before having to place our food order at the bar. Third, due to their admitted issue with one of their pizza ovens, it took about 30 minutes for our pizza order to arrive. Fourth, I ordered the Pulled Pork Sliders but only received a Pulled Pork Sandwich. Our waitress said the menu wasn't changed to reflect the change in the entree. The sandwich was pretty good, but the chips that came with it were bland. We did enjoy the classic Arcade games and pinball but the food was just average and because of the issues, we had to scarf our food down to make the concert we were in town to see.

We recently visited Tomaso's in Oct and Nov .The pizza is fabulous well worth the wait .What a little Goldmine they have created ! My heartbreak came upon our most recent visit the Gluten Free pizza had changed from just a few weeks earlier .It saddened me to see they had changed the size yet kept the upcharge, so as much as it pains me to say your greediness of $ 23.00 for a 10 " pizza is due cause to end our trips to your pizzeria .It was good while it lasted !

Cappy's Pizzeria

This place is easy to miss, as it is second unit back with a different restaurant on C Ave. side. Once there, inside is kind of small, seats about 50 to 60, pleasant clean modern atmosphere. Service was fast and efficient. Morgan was helpful. All kid staff. We had a New York style, which is medium thin (but not cracker) crust, slightly thicker and bready at edges.Smokey flavor to cheese? The 12inch pie was plenty for two. I found the pizza sauce to be a little mild, but my wife said it was just right spice-wise. She was not happy with her milk,(organic) as it came in a tiny little kids size 'drink box' not a glass. They must not sell much milk. They had a wide selection of beers in a self help cooler which seemed unusual. How do they keep track of how many you get? We enjoyed the food and the place. Fine meal, worth the price.

This is my favorite pizza in Cedar Rapids. I have fortunately patronized Need since their first day of business. The first visit was very good and they have consistently gotten better. Besides pizza that can be customized, their salads are very fresh. If you are in a hurry this is not the place for you. As they say, good food takes time and I don't mind waiting a little longer.
