Reviews on Pizza food in Cardiff, United Kingdom. The Welsh capital may have begun its life as a Roman fort, but it's since become a bustling city. Where the fort once stood, Cardiff Castle has held court since the 11th century. It remains a central presence in the city, now full of lively art and music venues, hip boutiques, fun bars and modern hotels. Even with so many new and exciting things to see, the National History Museum is still the most visited attraction in Wales. Don't be the only visitor who plays hooky!

Turned up a half hour late and it was no problem at all. Staff very attentive although to be fair it was not busy being 5pm on a Sunday. Food very good - children's portions were huge! Good value for money if you don't count the wine.

Booked a table for 5 for my wifes' birthday. Quaint little place stuck on the roadside. Met by the staff and taken to our table. Drinks ordered sand then food. I had a starter of Dough throwers meatballs, excellent. Pizzas ordered, Jhonnys, American Hot and Calabria. All arrived freshly cooked and all looked great and were. None left which tells you all you need to know.Hi Graham,Many thanks for taking the time not only to visit us but show us the pizza love! We really appreciate the support, and itâs a true testament to all my staff as they work so hard, and deserve all the recognition. We look forward to seeing you soon,RegardsBen

Wood-fired real Italian pizza served in the heart of Cardiff. Seating for over 100 people and a fantastic range of Italian wines, beers & spirits.
I booked a table here for dinner with four friends. They said they needed the table back after 90 minutes which was not a problem as we were going on somewhere else after dinner, but this detracted from the experience in my opinion. We each chose different pizzas and everyone was very happy with their choice. The restaurant is clean and the staff were good. The pizzas were better than any I have had from any of chain pizza restaurant.

'An authentic independent Italian restaurant, providing you with the finest cuisine to tantalise your taste buds and fulfil your appetite.â
I would definitely recommend Svago for authentic Italian food. I visited with my partner on a Saturday. We arrived at 6:15pm and the restaurant was busy but we were able to get a table without booking which was great. We chose the 2 course menu deal. There was a good choice of food on the set menu. We both had the pasta linguine dish with sweet red pepper and porccini sausage. It was absolutely stunning. Service was first class. The bread is amazing.. all home made. The bill for the two of us including drinks was £31. I also had a home made Tirrimsu desert which was outstanding. Such good value for money. We will definitely be back soon.Dear 672deanb,Thank you for taking the time to write us such a excellent review! Thank you for the lovely feedback on food and service, I have passed your comments on to the team here at Svago! We will look forward to seeing you and your partner on your next visit!Kind regards,Team Svago

Visited this restaurant last Saturday on a trip to Cardiff. The place was buzzing and had a great atmosphere. It's only small, so booking is essential on Saturdays and I would imagine that other weekend evenings are equally busy. The menu is small but with the additional specials board, there's something for everyone. I had a great prawn starter with a calzone type pizza for the main course, both were excellent. The tiramisu desert was the best i've eaten in a restaurant. All the staff were helpful and friendly and the service slick and professional. I will definitely book again next time we're in Cardiff, this place is a real gem!
