Grinders (aka Subs, etc.), pizzas, salads, etc. mostly set up for takeout. I have lunch here every few weeks before grocery shopping at Tom's. I always have a full Italian grinder, toasted with everything on it and a couple of beers. While they are not really set up for table service they do understand a tip in advance!

Sam's is a Bristol favorite. Pizza is perfect to take along. Wonderful. They will cut it into small part size slices. Sauce with grated cheese is great to bring to a party. Have never made it to a party without sneaking a slice or two.

Domino's pizza's is better then I remember! Delivered last night by a driver who forgot to give us the variety of dressings ordered. Although none of us noticed it, (lol) he came back on his own without us having to call & complain. Kudos to Eric ? (I think) !! Not many businesses employee kids that would take the initiative themselves to come all the way back. Bravo!As for the four types of pizza ordered, all were delish! Pepperoni & black olives was my fav. Hawaiian is aways good. Pineapple so juicy. Chicken & bacon extremely tasty. And sausage with peppers full of flavor as well. I will definitely order from Dominos. BTW... "the dressing" were fabulous for dunking the pizza crust in! yum~yum =}

They have the best buffalo chicken pizza I have ever had. But their service is terrible. Chances are if you pickup your order will be wrong. And you'll have to wait for them to remake it. And don't even think about delivery. I've tried delivery once about every 6months for the last few years, I always hope it is going to be better. I ask for an estimated time and they are always at least double what they say - if they say 30 minutes expect your order in an hour and half. Oh and don't ask for extra anything - that makes them cranky!

A friend recommended Classic Pizza as the best in the area, and it is true! A nice range of specialty pizzas; a terrific white pizza, and they offer both a Greek and a Florentine pizza. The "Classic" is overflowing with meats and veggies. The usual range of toppings for creating your own, but what is unusual is that they offer four sizes: small, medium, large, and extra-large. The wonderful crust makes this pizza; it is tender and unobtrusive, providing the base on which the pizza is built. The only word for Classic pizza: YUM!

This has been our favorite pizza place for years. I know traditional pizza (in Italy) is thin crust, butwe were brought up on the thicker style crust which remains our favorite. No matter what the topping is, the pizzas are delish.Don't hesitate to order calzones, too. We have had several fillings and they were all good. When we have a gathering and it calls for pizza, we call Wood Street Pizza. Just joined their rewards program--what a bonus:)

We are frequent customers at the Wave. It's a fun spot that our kids seem to be begging to revisit weekly. The new menu of the former "pizza wave" is much more than just pizza. Our kids love the kids options while my husband and I never have a problem selecting a healthy and always delicious entree. The wave in Bristol is the perfect spot for everyone in the family!

Papa Joe's Wrap Shack

I ate lunch here twice and dinner here once on a recent visit to Bristol! I really liked their Philly Cheese Steak Wrap and their The Med Pizza. The Philly is a hot wrap with steak, cheese, peppers and onions. The balance of each of these is good. There is plenty of steak and it is not too liquidy. I also tried a Portabello Wrap and it was very liquidy. I ended up very messy after that lunch. I really liked The Med pizza. The feta cheese was a nice contrast to the various veggies on the pizza. The crust was crunchy and soft. It was a great pizza. All in all, a nice place for lunch and a quick dinner. Although whenever I called to order for pick-up they always said 20 minutes and if you are calling between 5:30 and 8 pm, 20 minutes usually meant at least 30 instead.

Pomodoro Pizzeria

Geez, the place is admittedly tiny, and it was a terribly stormy night, so the space limitations presented problems for the staff in terms of folks, like us, waiting for a table. For an hour, or more. The worst part was the 'host' (using the term loosely..) who became increasingly diffident bordering on rude the longer we waited. First it was 'can you stand over here?' shunting us off to a tiny few feet of floor space (3 adults..). It's BYOB, so when my friend said "What would make this much easier (after maybe 40 minutes waiting..) is if we could get some glasses for our wine?" "No, we can't do that until you're seated" was the brusque reply. Can't? Or won't. We were inside, the place has no liquor license, so there's clearly no restriction about where the bottle we brought was opened. I've been to places where they bring you free glass of wine outside on the sidewalk, for heaven's sake, when the wait is that long, and they apologize as well. This dude just sort of ignored us, increasingly with the passage of time. Finally when we said 'we're going to go somewhere else' he sort of grunted a 'yeah' or some such, not an "so sorry for tonight, please try us again another time OK?" (yknow, 'hospitality' industry it's called?) Nope. Barely an acknowledgement. Though it was unsaid, they don't need to worry about us giving them another chance some night. Our friend who brought us there has gone often, and also stated she won't be returning.
