Bella Italia have over 100 Italian restaurants across the UK serving pizza, pasta, Italian classics and more, made with ingredients from Italian-family producers.
Having pre-booked our table plus high chair was all set when we arrived for lunch. The waitress was welcoming and friendly and the service was good. Our noisy one-year old did not phase them, neither did the mess he created. The childrenâs menu was good value and the garlic dough bites were fantastic. I enjoyed the calamari, which was thickly sliced. I enjoyed the Calzone Firenze and we also enjoyed the Gamberoni Arrabi. The wine list was also reasonably priced.

The pizza is made from slow-rising sourdough (minimum 20 hours) and is baked in a wood burning 'Tufae' brick oven made on site by specialised artisans from Naples. This oven produces a heat of about 500c (930f). The slow levitation and blast-cooking proce
I bloody love it here.. You always get a seat, the waitresses are always smiley and nice. The service is quick. The food.. is perfect, the pizzas are huge and well priced with fantastic fresh toppings I usually always go for the specials but if not I LOVE the anchovy pizza they do here with added stilton.. (When they have the stilton as an extra!)We came last night and sat by the window and who did we see waiting for a takeaway pizza.. Steve Oram from Sightseers!! We both looked then left him to wait for his pizza. As no man should be bothered waiting for food. All in all, I've decided as of last night Franco Manca is my favourite pizzeria in Brighton. And I am a born and bred Brightonian with extensive knowledge of all pizzerias in Brighton and Hove so you know I know my pizzas..STOP READING THIS REVIEW YOU NO LONGER NEED TO DECIDE WHERE TO EAT, COME HERE.Brunswickfisherman, your wonderful feedback and rating mean a lot to us. A lovely restaurant and delicatessen run by Davide and his team. His food has a homely and yet rustique quality, with explosions of flavour from Italy. There are no adaptations to local ideas of Italian cuisine, this is unapologetically Italian. Donât be fooled by the strange name of the cafe, you are guaranteed a wonderful meal.

Booked this restaurant last minute and we werenât disappointed. Having been to Italy on many occasions, it had a really authentic feeling and nice atmosphere. Most importantly, the food was excellent, really fresh and tasty. Staff were very friendly and nice, and service was prompt but not rushed. A good price for very good food.

Semola is an authentic Italian restaurant offering fresh homemade pasta with a specific pasta machine and all homemade desserts. The management of the restaurant is organized by an Italian family.
Popped in on the off chance on a rainy Saturday night having heard mixed reviews. Were welcomed immediately and given a great not too noisy table in the window. Lovely atmosphere - casual but smart type bistro feel, modern and clean. Extensive authentic pasta menu which lived up to expectations and we are hard to please! - really appreciated the extra touches - big bowl of olives at no charge came with the drinks, water served in individual jugs with slice of lemon. Generous side salad (not the usual mean variety other restaurants serve). Crispy generous portion of garlic bread. Very reasonably priced too. We will return!

Went for dinner with a friend who is regular and what can I say. One of the best Italian food experiences in long time. Staff were friendly and attentive. The food is amazing and plate presentation is beautiful. The restaurant was very busy. My starter was Polpette al sugo followed by the main course Petto di pollo alla Milanese. Very tasteful, beautifully prepared and felt very satisfied. Reminds me of the food served in Sorento. Will be back very soon.

Vegan Italian restaurant with pizza, nutritious and delicious raw food dishes and great tasting (healthy!) desserts.
Interesting that the first thing the hostess said when we asked for a table for two... âEverything is vegan, is that ok?â Yes!Friendly service, albeit a bit slow. Absolutely worth the wait. Delicious cocktails. Unbelievable crust on the pizza. We got a cheese and potato pizza and a beetroot and artichoke heart pizza. Beets werenât cooked enough so texture was unpleasant, but still packed with flavor. The cheese and potato pizza was phenomenal. No room for dessert, but all looked really good. A definite must for another visit. I actually watched a guy walk out because there was no meat when the hostess told him everything is vegan. Now the question made sense. His loss.
