typical New Haven Italian pizzeria style but always great service, food is consistently delicious and perfectly cooked. restaurant for all, free delivery to local homes and businesses. Prices a little on the high side for this area but worth it

Reliable slice, even though it tasted a little strange. One of the better pizzerias in Branford, the place looks almost like a shed but the food is decent. Conveniently located along Route 1.

You know when you feel like a nice home cooked meal?Well,I have found the place,Pompeo's Restaurant on Branford hill in Branford,CT.You will find all your favorite Italian staples here from chicken,veal,eggplant,and some seafood dishes always with a daily special.The pizza they make compares with some of New Havens best with plenty of toppings to choose from.This is the 2nd time in 2 weeks my family and have eaten here and will continue to return.Both times we were greeted,seated and served by a very friendly,bubbly accommodating hostess.A family-owned and operated business that can really cook Italian food!

This is a gem of as Pizza Restaurant. The Pizza is very good the Salads are very good but most of all the waitresses are wonderful.Lori Jean & Lindsey are the best. They are attentive and keep an eye on your table as well as very knowledgeable.This is a very neighborhood type place, friendly, courteous, and attentive. Additionally, the owners are good guys !If you go once you will return.

We've been several times for both pizza and dinners and have not been disappointed. The pizza is very thin crusted and crispy while the sauce is seasoned perfectly. The cheese is not sparse and also flavorful. We've tried pepperoni, sausage and bacon, and all have been quite good although not very generous.The dinners were also very good, with good-good-sized portions, tasty sauces plus reasonably priced.

Went there with family for a sit down dinner, the meals consisted of chicken marsala, broccoli rabe and sausage, chicken parm and a dish of macaroni with chopped ham and cheese. We also had appitizers of garlic bread and sausage and broccoli rabe, all were excellent ,I would recommend this place to anyone

Stopped by here the other night and ordered large cheese pizza (18 inch) for $11.50 and a Genaro's Salad with craisin, goat cheese, walnuts... ($6.50) - both were delicious. Have used reviews from Yelp, trip advisor and Google in the past to find recommended places to eat and honestly, many times, I have been disappointed. Genaro's only has a couple of reviews and all positive so, this time, I concur! Will be coming back which is not something I usually write.

We were all very impressed with the high quality food we enjoyed at Strega, from our appetizers (burrata cheese with fresh cherry tomatoes; arancini) to our respective main courses (the Bufala pizza, margherita pizza, and ravioli). Everything is clearly fresh, hand-made (pasta included), and cooked the authentic Italian way. New Haven is chock-full of pizza places, including several famous spots (Frank Pepe's, Modern, Sally's) with much better than average pizza. However Strega has the pizza that most closely resembles an authentic Neapolitan pizza, with a light, airy, chewy crust and simple, fresh toppings. We will be back for sure.

I heard so much about this place we decided to give it a try. The atmosphere seemed cold as we sat in the front with the take out. I had a small white pie and my wife had cheese ravioli. Our friends had subs. The subs came out first. Seemed small to me but the price was small also. My wifes ravioli was luke warm and she sent it back to be reheated . I was still waiting for my pizza while everyone started eating. People at the next table who came after us got their two pies already. I was having nothing special. It was ok when it came. I would not run back. I have great pizza places in Guilford
