Find out what Pizza restaurants to try in Bora Bora. Turquoise lagoons, soft white sands, and deep tangerine sunsets set the scene for romance on the island so nice they named it twice. Mingle with tropical fish as you flutter around Coral Gardens or Tupitipiti Point, or relax in a self-driving tour as you take in beautiful views of the once-volcanic Mount Otemanu. At the Lagoonarium you can watch shark feedings and swim with turtles. Cap it all off with a succulent meal at one of the island’s fine French restaurants, then sip a tropical cocktail under the stars.

We wandered down here from the Sofitel after shopping at the little market & are really enjoyed it. There were lots of interesting choices on the menu, but we had the Lorraine (sp?), which used a creme fraiche sauce, mozzarella, lardons, black olives, & just a touch of oregano; got a large, which was large enough to be dinner that night, & lunch the next day. The crust was thin & perfect, & the creme fraiche a nice change from the Alfredo sauce we get at home. Went back a couple of days later, & stayed with the Lorraine, but got a small one, which fed two of us easily. Both times we brought our own beverages, which the chef was cool with. Prices were average for Bora Bora; the large was 18000 XFP, the small 16000.

We recently spent time at the Intercontinental Thalasso resort. We dined at Sands every day for lunch. What I liked was the setting--you are literally given the choice of a table on the sandy beach. In the event of clouds or rain, you can choose the more sheltered area in the building but still have an equally great view. The service was wonderful regardless of what you ordered or when you had a meal. Our favorite menu item was the Hawaiian/Moorea thin pizza with chicken, onions, cheese, pineapple, and olives. We would share a pizza and drink the local Hinano beer.We also ate dinner at Sands a few times. The chicken meatballs are very good if you are looking for a lighter meal. The beef with noodles was fantastic. The Caesar salad is a large, fresh, portion that could be shared. The dessert selection is very nice and includes the different ice cream flavors. You cannot go wrong with Sands!
