Anthonyâs is on its way to becoming a great little pizza joint - a lot of potential there! - but our experience was a mixed bag. We ordered carry out through the online system which was mostly easy to use aside from the âselect a timeâ. I found that feature to be too specific and it messed up our ordering later at which point I had to go back and figure out how to select a different time.When we arrived to pick up our order, our calzones were hot and ready to go, but our garlic knots were not. They were thrown in the oven for about two minutes while we waited. One member of the staff was extremely friendly, but the others were less so and one seemed to have no idea what he was doing. When we returned with our food, we were amazed at how BIG the calzones were, but then disappointed to find how poorly the cheeses inside had been mixed... one part was entirely mozzarella and the other ricotta. But the overall taste was pretty good! The garlic knots were a fabulous texture, but they were cold and didnât have much flavor.I hope they keep working to improve! Thank you for your review! We appreciate all of this feedback. We will be taking it to our team to improve what you have talked about. The online ordering time-specific feature is something that we thought we would try out to place future orders. It is very new to us. We will dig a little deeper to see if it is something we want to continue to use but again appreciate the thorough feedback. ,... cannot beat free wine & beer (and one has a few to choosr from!).We ordered a small chicken parmessian sandwich & a small calzone and were pleasantly surprise at the quality, also we shared, had leftovers to take home. My husband and I love this restaurant. The lasagna was delicious. I was able to order gluten-free baked penne. They also have personal size gluten-free pizza. We have been there two times and we loved the food both times. The service and friendliness of the staff was outstanding.

The food is the star of the show for certain. Delectable salads with homemade dressing, pizzas with perfect crusts, eggplant, pastas and tomato sauce like my mom used to make. We had been here before under the prior ownership. The prices have increased a bit but it's still very economical. Where can you get a nice fresh salad, garlic knots, choice of entrée and cannoli for like $11.00. They only have beer and wine. And the pizza looks great - will try that next time for sure. It's a hidden gem in a little strip mall and always busy.

Recently, we had the opportunity to give Grandpa's Pizza a try. The TripAdvisor ratings were excellent, and we felt like Italian so I called ahead for a white pizza.I was greeted by the chef/owner and (I think) his wife. We had a few minutes to talk about our favorite Pittsburgh dining spots and sports teams before the pie came up. The crust was thin and perfectly cooked. The finished product was just right. We are looking forward to the next occasion to order from Grandpa's.

What a beautiful view to eat literally on the beach with sand as your floor and picnic table to dine on and watch the sun set. Breathtaking photo shoot while enjoying casual dining. Food was good and inexpensive considering the location. Can get very crowded and no reservations so go early. No charge for valet parking..just give a tip. Oh and we had an unexpected guest walk by our tables....a large turtle.

We celebrated my husbandâs birthday there last night. They have high chairs but no booster chairs and no kidâs menu. However, they were able to make a small penne alfredo for our daughter which she loved! I enjoyed my spaghetti bolognese and the pizza my brother-in-law had looked huge and delicious! My husband had the veal cannoli with escarole. He said the escarole was delicious but heâs not a fan of cream sauce so if heâd known,he probably would not have gotten it. The calamari was hit or miss on the same plate. Some tender and delicious, others just tasting like fried batter and salt.
