About 15 miles southeast of Perugia lies the lovely walled town of Bevagna, which, happily for travel-weary hill-climbing legs, is basically flat relative to other area towns. Can’t-miss sights include the 12th-century Palazzo dei Consoli (Palace of the Consuls) and the churches of St. Sylvester and St. Michael Arcangel, both also dating from the 12th century. The Madonna of the Snow was built atop a Roman temple ruin. The Mercato delle Gaite, a major medieval festival, happens every June.

First visit very pressed...set in a Piazza which is very tranquil. Good service, good food and wine. Second visit this week equally as good. excellent staff... Lovely relaxing lunches spent here.

A Sunday in Italy. Families out walking after church. Kids running, playing. Sitting at an outdoor table at a little cafe slurping beer and eating "tapas." What a relaxing way to spend a few hours. This little spot has it all. Including gelato. Easy to find and fun to hang out at. Do some shopping and work up a thirst. It is a Gran Caffe!

Fresh tasty and inexpensive. Thatâs what you get when you buy here. Only for takeaway unfortunately. Would be great to sit and have a coffee with these delightful products. Enjoy

This is a very pleasant hotel restaurant on the outskirts of Bevagna, with plenty of parking. I've eaten here on many occasions, and always found it to be excellent. Tonight , for the first time, I ordered a pizza, so easy to get wrong! However, it was quite good, nice thin crust, one is plenty for two unless you're starving! It's a bit lacking in character, and not really a romantic getaway, but I'd still recommend it for either lunch or dinner.

It's a new place run by young and talented guys, well decorated and cosy. The food was good and really plentiful, antipasto looked more like three course dinner. Pizza is giant, dough is thin and crispy. Nice place for dinner with a friends.

Upon returning to my favorite Italian town ( Bevagna) after a 2 year absence, I was looking forward to eating at favorite Pizzeria. Sadly I learned it had closed down. However my friends quickly took me to a new place it town in what used to be the old hardware store.I was totally surprised by the restoration and this restaurant is now a modern Pizzeria with gorgeous pictures on the walls and lovely table settings. No paper serviettes here either. The very friendly waitresses were helpful and obliging with prompt service The pizzas are amazing. Mine with sausage, mushrooms and truffles was generously covered. Shavings of truffles , not grated so I got the full truffle flavor I will be returning soon to this new gem in Bevagna. Sadly I forgot to take a photo. Next time !
