Things to do in Berea
Local chain finally opens in Berea. Berea is a small town and lacks good sit-down restaurants. (Most seem to be country-food or BBQ.). Itâs also a welcome addition as a place that serves beer (but you canât order beer until you order food, per Berea law). The pizza is fantastic, the staff are great, and the best part is I wonât have to drive to Richmond now to enjoy it! Pizza is traditional slices, not the typical small square pieces you see in this part of the country. The cheese bread is so good, too! Iâve heard they plan on opening an outdoor patio and courtyard. I will be returning many, many times!
This has happened more than once at this location.........go to drive thru and order a hot-n-ready deep dish, drive to window and pay, and then be told "I'm sorry we don't have any ready. It will take 6 mins to make you one. Do you want to wait"? No, I don't want to wait, that is why I ordered a hot-n-ready. Key word being "ready". If you have to wait for what you order to be prepared then I will just go to Domino's or Papa John's.

We wanted some good food when staying the night and saw that this place had Italian, Mexican, and ribs. Well, that clinched it for us. It's unusual to have a local restaurant have so many choices. We had the ribs, and they were great. The Owner actually took our order and served us. We will certainly stop here again when in town.
They were out of what we went there for, and the server didn't know they had sandwiches which we had thought of as a backup for the pizza they didn't have (pan pizza). We ended up with a poorly made hand tossed pizza 45 minutes after ordering. I heard a gushing sound coming out of the men's room and didn't think anything of it at first... Until there was a puddle of water encroaching ever closer to our feet. I rushed to tell the waitress. She slowly approached the cook to try and take care if it. He did the best he could, but apparently the urinal was sticking... It had happened before. I know Pizza Hut can be better than that, but the waitress needed retraining or let go and the plumbing needed a major overhaul. I hope they took care of it, though I won't be going back to that one.
