One-of-a-kind establishment run and staffed by real characters. Decent beer and the food looked amazing (the cupcakes are a work of art!) but the decor is next level. Spend an hour here and you'll need another hour to double check the stuff on the walls/ceiling/floors and every available surface is really there. Real thought has gone into making a large space into a collection of intimate nooks: vintage arcade machines, unusual paraphernalia, weird taxidermy and comfy chairs next to an open fire! Good selection of mainstream beers and ciders (and top shelf) with more local, small batch beers also available. Plus, there's all the stuff outside too but you should go see that for yourself! Highly recommended!

We headed here as a last minute booking for a birthday treat. The restaurant was quiet with only a couple of tables and 1 waitress serving, however the waitress was pleasant and very attentive throughout.The drinks and food arrived promptly and was all lovely.We had a couple of queries regarding dietary requirements and it was extremely refreshing to see that the waitress could easily look up our questions in a concise guide that was to hand, this reassured us that Pizza Express have taken Food Safety seriously.All in all we had a great meal and would happily go back!TIP: Always check the website or app as we saved a small fortune by grabbing the 2/3 course sent menu voucher available at the time.

Two of us ate lunch, dough balls to start, pasta, polenta fries and pizza for mains. Staff very friendly. Used Tesco vouchers. Restaurant was very busy and noisy. Food served very quickly. Great choice of beer (9 changing keg lines, one real ale) and excellent, freshly cooked sourdough pizzas. Really friendly, welcoming and knowledgable service (particularly the tall, young barman). Highly recommended for a chilled drink with friends.

Popped in for a quick drink with my husband one sunny Saturday afternoon. Fantastic warm welcome and great selection of drinks on offer. The atmosphere is great and the food we saw looked wonderful and we will definitely be back to eat.

We love the freshness, quality ingredients and authentic taste of these gorgeous pizzas! Seriously - several cuts above anything else you can buy in the area. Our young Italian nephews and niece sampled them and even proclaimed them to be the best pizza theyâd ever tasted in England... high praise indeed!
