Have visited this cafe before and served by a welcoming waitress and food quite acceptable so gave it a second go....weâre actually planning to live at Ballina so would treat ourselves here regularly...not now...the young brunette waitress who served us this time was rude, off hand, didnât listen couldnât care too hoots....more interested in the younger patrons...the male owner (assume heâs the owner) was abrupt and lacked any hospitable manner....we did nothing to cause this....seemed as if timing wasnât good...but thatâs their problem...a classic couldnât care less attitude...so guess thatâs ok as long as youâre busy....two other good places to go which we did....small town ...wonât be back there ...very pleasant competition over the road and at two other places for dinner too....best not to ride on pseudo popularity 86 on Main....never know who your patrons are

I had seen flyers about the Plateau's pizzas so I thought I would check it out. At the bar you could order a standard or large glass of wine. A nice touch if you can't decide between one or maybe two glasses of wine with dinner.I ordered a small garlic prawn pizza. It had capsicum, Spanish onion, spinach and was topped with aioli sauce, lemon wedges and parsley. It was good and had lots of flavour. The crust could have been more crispy, but still a good option and reasonably priced.Thank you for your feedback.

Recently re-opened under new management.
This was our third visit to La Cucina di Vino and by far the least impressive. My Veal Scallopini turned out to be both pathetically small and incredibly thin. This was disguised under a great quantity of reduced cream containing some mushroom pieces. Needless to say the flavour of the veal was totally masked and undetectable. My wife has Spaghetti Bolognese and frankly is was soooo ordinary. I tried the restaurant's "Paradise Mocktail" and it was a ghastly thing tasting like medicine. New chef or new management? Whatever the answer, I won't risk it again.Hi Brian,You never seemed to be happy when you visit our restaurant. I suggest there are other restaurants in Ballina you could visit and have huge cheap meals. I recommend you to visit McDonald's and have big Mac which is cheap and taste to your liking.

Small pizza $17.50, soggy and toppings fell off as soon as you picked a slice from the box. Don't bother, may as well go to Dominos.

Fish and Chips, Pizza, Coffee and Ice Cream.
Great service with a smile and excellent food, drinks and menu. Location is right next to the beach which is really beautiful and close to the heart of Ballina. Family friendly and the kids loved it. Thank you for reviewing us, we are happy that your family enjoyed visiting Brighton St. We hope to see you again soon
