Had dinner to go here while on a business trip to the City. Had a beer while waiting. Mostly micro brews and specialties on tap. Quite good.Ordered a mushroom, peperoni combo with a Ceasar salad with blue cheese dressing.Back in my hotel room had a bite of the salad.--To DIE for!! The bleu cheese was absolutely wonderful! Could have chucked the pizza right then. The pizza was very good, but nothing amazing. Service was very good and attentive-even though I was a carry out. I would definitely eat here again when I'm in town!

My wife and I love to come here and have a beer or two which comes with a small slice (Sliver!) of their delicious pizza during their happy hour which I believe is 4-6 daily but double check that before you go. They have a solid selection of about 7 or 8 craft beers on tap for the very reasonable price of $5 a pint. Quite frankly, 7 beers are enough for me to choose a good one or two from. Too many choices becomes a bad thing for me sometimes.

My friend and I stopped in to satisfy our craving for Italian food. We arrived at the beginning of the dinner hour. Although we did not have reservations, we were seated immediately;. Very friendly waiters. We shared an appetizer (grilled and stuffed artichoke), a salad (mixed greens) and a plate of crab raviolis. And, of course a glass of red wine. As we were getting ready to begin eating the main course, the waiter came over and added a sizable splash of wine to our glasses. WOW!! That was a first. And, we were not charged for the additional wine. The raviolis were to die for, and sadly, we did not have room for dessert. A lovely, small, yet spectacular find of a restaurant.

East coast transplant here, so glad I found this pizza place (they sell slices or pies) that is truly NYC-style (thin, floppy slices perfect for folding) but with Berkeley toppings (fresh, high quality produce) like plenty of earthy, fresh mushrooms piled on the Funghi, or kale or broccoli, all straight from the farmers market! Slices from giant 18" pies are reheated from already-baked pies (NYC-style) but full pies are made-to-order, hot & fresh! This is primarily a takeout joint, there are a few chairs along the wall if you want to eat in. (And don't forget to go to Hopkins Street Bakery next door for dessert).

We are here every week for slices to go. The pizza is terrific and the quality is high, never changing. But the reception and service is often cold and unwelcoming, and the prices keep inching higher and higher.

There are a lot of pizza choices in the Rockridge area, and this is the one that we keep coming back to for take away pizza. It's because the quality is very, very good. Service is sketchy. Some staff are nice, others rude. The prices keep edging up and up. But we like the quality.

We had Sunday night dinner here with five in our party. Pizza was what we wanted. We had two different ones, The Classic and The Old School. Both were deep dish and excellent. They also serve thin crust pizza, sandwiches, salads and have a full bar. Great service.

Took my son there and we were both duly impressed with the food and service. At 1pm on a Sunday, the place was bustling. We sat at the bar and ordered gem salad, pork belly, hamburger, eggs w/spinach. And pilsners to wash them down with. The gem salad was the best. We had to ask what kind of dressing because it was that good -- creme fraiche. Who would've thought? My son devoured the pork belly and hamburger. My son insisted that I taste the burger and it was perfectly done right (m-rare) and juicy good. I recommend. The eggs were done perfectly but couldn't finish because it was just too much food. The service was great as we received a lot of attention to and through. I highly advise reservations.

Brew Pub with oven fired pizza and a variety of other food
Late lunch as a family on a Saturday. Nice feel to the place especially outside. Good range of beers for an American restaurant/bar. Service is pretty good but food itself only very average. The Caesar Salad and the wedges were poor but the pizzas were good. So, OK just overall.

The Cheeseboard Collective has a winning strategy: make just one kind of vegetarian pizza every day (except Sunday and Monday), provide counter service only and offer it ready to eat or half-baked for heating up later. The dining area is smallish but airy and there's often live music. And, if Cheeseboard Pizza isn't open, you can buy the half-baked pizza at the Cheeseboard Bakery next door.
