Things to do in Alabaster
I've eaten Papa John's pizza for years but my last order was sorely lacking. The sauce was different; not a good difference. It lacked taste. It didn't even compare to a frozen Digiorno pizza. I'll give them one more chance; if no improvement, I'll not be back.
not much on the salad bar, no one was interested in adding anything to the numerous empty bowls. when pizza ran out, tough, not getting any more. service is non existent. so, I probably won't be going to Pizza Hut for lunch again any time soon. had a free buffet, so you get what you pay for I guess.

A culinary cornerstone for the Alabaster community. Crowds keep returning because the portions are huge, the food is delicious, the prices are great and guests are treated like family. While the pasta and pizza are amazing acts, the star of the show is th
This place has come up in conversation as a good place for Italian food so we decided to give it a try. The restaurant is in a building that looks like it was multiple store fronts. Inside the dining room was open, but not necessarily cozy. We were seated right away (about 5:15 on a Friday night). The menu is rather basic, but has the essential Italian classics such as lasagna and chicken parmigiana. The server poured their herb infused olive oil and provided soft bread for dipping. The oil was excellent! Great flavor with balanced herbs. We ordered a caprese salad as an appetizer. It was flavorful, but was too heavy on the garlic. I ordered chicken parmigiana, my test for these types of restaurants. It was good, but nothing special. The sauce was tangy and tasted fresh on top of a bed of spaghetti. My wife had shrimp scampi with linguine (a special). We sent it back. It had a very off flavor. This was quickly replaced with another dish. The server checked on us frequently and was very pleasant. She handled the food replacement with professionalism and sensitivity. Incidentally, we were seated next to the cake case. They looked fabulous, but with the meal portion sizes (large), we passed. I hear they are great, maybe a separate trip just for cake!Thomas, I am the General Manager of Joe's, Allison. I want to thank you for choosing us for dinner, and for taking the time to leave this review. Our housemade foccacia bread and dipping oil is a favorite among our guests and I'm glad that you enjoyed it. I am sorry that you didn't enjoy the Shrimp Scampi as that is my favorite special that we serve, but I am glad to hear that your server handled the situation to your satisfaction!I do hope you will give us another try, and I would definitely recommend the cakes as that is something that we are most known for!Hope we have the opportunity to serve you again in the future!
You can't beat the $5 hot and read pizza! Choose from Cheese, Sausage or Pepperoni. I love the $8 deep dish pepperoni! They make a great supreme pizza as well. If you're adventurous, check out the bacon wrapped pizza!

Pizza from the rebranded Domino's is better than it used to be but still lacks 'something' - can't quite put my finger on it. My taste buds prefer Pappa John's. That being said, my $7.99 large 3-topping carry-out was very good and I'd probably return to try again in the future.
