In the neighborhood where I was having vehicle service, La Brasa was warmly recommended by the service representative at the shop desk. This is an industrial area: to my knowledge, this is one of two eating places available to the general public. The establishment was 2/3 full about 12:40pm. Quick service, orders, delivery: 3 waiters were present for about a dozen tables. I had 1/4 chicken with mixed vegetables and black beans, with soda, for less than $10, plus tip. Chicken was quickly served with two Peruvian sauces on the side, warm; with broccoli and carrots, warm; and black beans (very warm). The sides were served without seasoning - excellent texture. Prices at the low-end of "mid-range"Although I had lunch, a number of dinner entrees were also available. Settings were plain, cozy, and comfortable. Dine within, or take out. Both the restaurant and the available restroom were clean.

You cannot go wrong with the gruyere chicken sandwich. Or with their sauce. There is a reason people always mention it. Amazing, both on chicken and rice. However, it is crazy busy during prime lunch hours. Go later if you can.

The food is quite tasty. I got the 1/4 chicken white meat plate with plantains and green beens. Yes, green beans and they were very tasty. Seemed to have the right amount of butter. Spices on the chicken were very nice. Plantains were quite tasty. It's cafeterias style, and you seat yourself. hey don't crack up the heat during the winter so you'll be wearing your coat. Upbeat music playing. I will return to sample their very interesting menu. Besides chicken, steaks, shrimp, salmon. Great sides. Check it out, you'll be back for more.

This was my first visit. It is a chain restaurant and has basically the same menu as other Peruvian style restaurants. Their cooking ovens are not prominently displayed like other competitors display them. The interior design is welcoming and spacious.I started with a large steak salad ($11) which was âyugeâ, yet surprisingly very good. For my entrée I had a whole chicken ($12.50). At least the chicken did have some natural flavor but like most Peruvian places is overcooked and dry. They do offer a mayonnaise-based sauce and a hotter sauce. I am not a fan of mayonnaise on my chicken and would have liked other sauce options. Next time I might bring my own. Note that they do have many beverage options, including beer on tap.

Our first restaurant, La Flor de La Canela, opened its doors in 1997. Having been one of the first Peruvian restaurants in the area, our loyal customers have continued to follow us to our new locations. The food we offered was a combination of authentic P
A lot of the restaurants in downtown Rockville have had trouble making it. There's a constant parade of musical chairs. But La Canela is one of the old standbys that have stayed in place for decades. And no wonder. First, it's quiet enough so that a group of five seated at a 5' circular table could easily hear each other. Second, the waiters are delightful and service-oriented. The drinks and food menus are full of unusual and delicious options (a half page of ceviche options!). And the food itself was divine. We got two trout specials that were simply fantastic: simple, not the least bit greasy, and yet wonderfully spiced. Another at our table got a beef with pasta dish that had just a hint of heat. And my stepdaughter LOVED her squash soup. A total winner.

Our son and Daughter in Law took us there the other evening. My first experience at a Peruvian restaurant. Our waitress was kind and helpful. I ordered a dish with noodles and chicken, my wife a salad. My son ordered fried yucca root, tasted allot like French fries but they are thicker.. we all enjoyed the food. The service wS great and the place was very clean. Easy parking
