Things to do in Chincha Alta
In Chincha Alta, figuring out where to have a nice dinner, this place popped up on Trip Advisor without a review. It turned out to be great! The food was delicious, the atmosphere was traditional without being kitsch, the service excellent. And to top it off, a trio serenaded us with Afro-Peruvian music. Not to mention the Pisco sours, which really did not alter our judgement one bit... :)If you are anywhere in the area, do have a meal there.
We ate lunch here on the recommendation of our driver while traveling from Lima to paracas. My wife and I each had a quarter chicken that came with fries. The chicken was large and was enough to fill each of us. The meat was juicy, tender, and flavorful and there was a generous amount of fries. The restaurant is basically like a casual dining place in the states with waitress service. Overall, it was an enjoyable meal.
Lovely place to have coffee and take a toilette break. Next to a gas station own by the same person. Coincidence we recognised many Dutch touches when seating at the bar waiting for our coffee. Friendly staff, clean place and super origineel toiletten. Proficiat! Recomended!

No thrills place, only locals, ask for the specials. Had the best tamales ever, chicarron with sweet potatoes, local specialty 'sopa seca' (yuca, pasta with herbs and carapulcra - very interseting mix on the same plate). Large portions and inexpensive. But again, the place looks like a hole in the wall but well worth it. I would stop again if travelling through Chincha.

La Plaza Bar & Grill of Casa Andina Standard Chincha is a proposal of Peruvian cuisine fusion with Creole and regional dishes in a casual and fresh atmosphere. Our menu offers star dishes using delicious regional ingredients such as carapulcra with dried
Looks like only decent and safe restaurant in the city but clearly not a vent for a culinary experience but rather an opportunity for a quick stop on way from Lima to Ica or further south. Stick with simple dishes, the list is well too long given the traffic to take any risks with more elaborated dishes. Rice with shrimps was actually very good and so were pasta.

Bienvenido al restaurante El Batán, combinamos los mejores platos de la cocina Gourmet, peruana e internacional, y la más alta calidad de nuestros producto.
The plates were huge! So maybe you wanna share. I ordered an appetizer for lunch, grilled octopus.. Very tasty. My family ordered fish, lasagna, chicken, and all plates were amazing. A bit o er prized though. The chupe de camarones was 70 soles. And most plates were between 30 and 50 soles. The place was nice and good service. Worth it!
