The town is located along the southwestern coast of Norway, about 75 kilometres (47 mi) south of the city of Stavanger. The is one of the best bars (as well as restaurants) in Egersund. I and a group of fellow Brits were working over in Egersund for around 9 months over last year and early this year and the Kro was used as the local. The staff are all very friendly, the food good and of course the local brew is served here. Prices are no more expensive than other food outlets in Egersund and sitting outside in the terraced area is very pleasant even in the winter (gas heaters are put on).

We stopped by after a day in Egersund. Tasted the potatoballs (komle). This tasted very well. We also got exellent service by a lady from our hometown.
