Find out what Norwegian restaurants to try in Alesund. Perched at the top of Norway’s Western Fjord country, picture-perfect Alesund is spread over several islands stretching into the Atlantic, with the spectacular Sunnmøre Mountains as a backdrop. If its natural beauty doesn’t grab you, its architecture surely will: After an early 20th-century fire destroyed much of the town, Alesund was rebuilt in absolute Art Nouveau (Jugendstil) glory. Learn the history at Aalesunds Museum, or visit one of the world’s largest aquariums, the Atlanterhavsparken.

EVERGREENS is a place where you can eat street-food made from high quality local products. We are thinking about the environment therefore all our dishes are served in environmentally friendly packaging.
Absolutely, undeniably the best tacos anywhere. We live in Southern California where tacos abound, but we have never had better tacos than at Evergreens. The fact that such good food comes from a food truck is remarkable. Wish we had Evergreens in Southern California! And the owners are a delightful couple as well.Thank you so much for checking us out and taking the time to review us! It means a lot to us !We wish you all the best and hope you enjoy your stay in Norway :)

This place is a fish and chip kiosk with some seating which also sells the most amazing ice-cream ever. Situated on the roadside near the water, the seating is very relaxing. There was so much choice with the ice-cream, sauces and coverings we had to take a little while to decide. Our choices came in a large portion which tasted fantastic - definitely one to recommend and not too expensive either.

So nice that you will give us your feedback.Hope to see you again.SincerelyCecilie Langvatn

The restaurant Fjellstua has got the best view in alesund, situated on top of the town mountain Aksla. At Fjellstua you can enjoy anything from light snacks to gourmet food, and the restaurant has got large dining room for rent.
Thursday 6th September we climbed the 418 steps to the top and were looking forward to sitting and relaxing with a coffee enjoying the view.Unfortunately the coffee machine, at the outdoor cafe, was not working when we were here, so we ended up with 2 apple juices 40 Krone each (about £4) and 2 muffins 35 Krone each (£3.50), the whole lot came about £15.Thankfully the sun was shining and we were able to sit outside enjoying the views.

The walls of the houses ANNO much history. From 1907, the house was full of people and life. The story begins not surprising with a Alesundsk shopkeeper who was rich in dried fish exports. He bought some apartment buildings and started the shop. The stori
The food selection is fine, the dishes were freshly made but unfortunately the service that night was really really slow with no apologies whatsoever. Also booking is highly recommended or be prepared to wait. There is an outside seating as well but apparently they cannot serve food after a certain time the waiter said.

By Brosundet canal you can enjoy exquisite seafood at Sjobua Fiskerestaurant. The courses are made in accordance with the areas food traditions. Tanks inside the restaurant keep the fish fresh. Sjobua Fiskerestaurant is situated in a renovated warehouse u
We had the set menu and it was an absolute treat - considering how expensive restaurants are in Norway one appreciated not only the innovative and high quality food but the setting. The restaurant is in an historic building, formerly a warehouse with exposed beams - the furnishings and art work add to a wonderful ambienceWe had a very unique dish which was sumptuous - a lobster pie part lobster part bisque with a layer of pastry on top The polish sous chef who was in charge that night gave us his time to explain our dishes. The overall service was exemplary You do not need to look elsewhere once you have experienced this restaurant

We serve lunch, coffee and cakes. We also have a good selection of milk-shakes ,ice-coffee and smoothies. Our location is in the 1. floor of a church and we want to be a place for everyone. You are warmly welcome.
We had dinner here, the Teryaki chicken and the samurai chicken. Both meals were very large and delicious. Just order from the counter and seat yourself wherever. Prices are quite reasonable. I recommend this restaurant.

The old warehouse Apotekergata No. 5 has today become a restaurant, a foodbar and a cocktailbar â and for the sunny days; a barge where you can enjoy local seafood.
We left Apotekergata No 5 with mixed feelings and we will not come back. We took the 3 course menu. Excellent fish and other food, dessert too sweet. However, our main issue was the restaurantâs attitude. Identical menu for everyone at the table means vegetarians, vegans and others need to align. Extra charge for an change of courses e.g. replacing dessert with cheese. Less than perfect service e.g. no cutlery for main course, not handling of complaints. Overall not a remarkable performance.Hi!That is not completly true, all allergies & diets are taken care of without us charging the guests. It is true that we do the same amount of dishes for everyone around the table. We are sad to see your comments and would like you to visit us again to give you a diffrent point of view.I have spoken to the waiter that had your table and you have quite diffrent stories. It is easier to fix problems straight away at the table instead of not saying anything and wait until you have left.

From the heart of Aalesund, with a view towards Aalesundet, Molja and the great sea. We in XL Diner has since the start up in 1999 Purposeful developed what is today well known as Europes best Bacalao restaurant, to the habitants pride and our guests enjo
We were referred to this restaurant by a family member and I was personally unsure of the the main menu choice of bacalao but we dove into the dining experience and were well rewarded. The guys shared the Royal Bacalao (2 person selection) that features 3 varieties of Bacalao and it was more than enough for them. I had the Spanish Bacalao and my daughter had the Parmesean Bacalao. The servings were plentiful and flavorful and the service was attentive. Somehow our reservation that was made by our hotel was not to be found upon arrival, but we were seated, albeit not in a prime location to fully enjoy the harbor views. My tip is to 1) make a reservation 2) ask for prime seating near the window 3) try the Bacalao! People do dress up for this restaurant, but men can get by with a nice button down or polo shirt and women a dressier blouse and black capri's or sun dress. I would not recommend shorts for guys or gals for evening dinner.
