You will not leave this place hungry. Great primi piatti (pasta dishes) and secondi (meat) whith some dolci afterwards leave you full and happy, especially after you have seen the bill.

Agriturismo San Polo Via San Polo 5 | Modena, 41014, Castelvetro di ModenaWhile on a day outing to see some parmesan, balsamic vinegar and Parma ham factories, we ended our outing here with a light lunch and some wine tasting. The 100+ acers of vineyards, apartments and a restaurant was owned by an eclectic chef named Paolo. Paolo prepared a delicious lunch for us which consisted of bruschetta with fresh tomatoes and grated cheese, a zucchini soup (more like a puree) prepared with pureed potatoes and hers, tomatoes and mozzarella âall fresh from his garden along with some cured meats (prosciutto and salami) with homemade bread and the creamiest cow cheese I have ever had melted on top! We sampled some reds and whites and was so full and satisfied that we are determined to come back here one day! After eating so much pasta, fresh vegetables is what we craved. It was so delicious, yet healthy. If you are anywhere near Emilia Romana/Modena/Castelvetro area do not hesitate to make accommodations here. Cena tra amici in un locale che frequento da qualche tempo, ottimi i borlenghi in apertura, super il gnocco fritto ed ottimi i salumi, fantastico il lardo. A causa del caldo ho bevuto solo acqua, chiusura con un rinfrescante sorbetto al limone e liquori , degustare dagli altri commensali.

We ate at this Trattoria as part of an organized tour with Italian Days. It was absolutely delicious, we tasted the salumi, the gnocchis fritti, three kinds of pasta, followed by a secondo of guancia (beef cheek) and home made dolce.Everything was excellent and I would go back with pleasure.

La mia esperienza qui si basa su un pranzo per una ricorrenza con molti invitati, quindi la "performance" del locale non è paragonabile a come lo sarebbe se fossimo stati solo in 3-4 persone.Detto ciò, mi sembra che le cose funzionino abbastanza bene. Il locale era pieno, ma nonostante ciò i piatti ci sono stati serviti con il giusto tempo d'attesa, considerando anche che si trattava di 3 primi, 2 secondi e dolce per chiudere.I tortellini in brodo sono buoni anche se non i migliori mai mangiati, mentre ho apprezzato moltissimo le rosette.L'arrosto è nella media, mentre sono buonissime le tigelle e lo gnocco fritto, le pietanze migliori che ho mangiato in questo locale.Penso che ci tornerò per provare i borlenghi.

This restaurant made publicity with a menu of the day costing 13 EUR. Once seaten, I was not given all options to choose from that local (regular) guests got. Food really of inferior quality ; bathroom very dirty ! Price for the 13 EUR menu when I came to pay the bill at the bar : 15 EUR ; I had spent not more than 15 minutes inside, eating the crappy food. Leggono il menù e poi ti chiedono se hai la sogliola, vengono a gennaio e ti chiedono il melone bianco, ti fanno vedere la foto della fettina che si sono cotti a casa e ti chiedono se saresti in grado di rifargliela uguale.Ti danno consigli sul voltaggio delle lampadine alla luce delle quali vorrebbero cenare, si presentano con le loro bottiglie di vino dicendo che loro preferiscono bere quello...cosa che noi, nonostante cerchiamo di mantenere un buon livello, gli lasciamo fare, in nome della tanto decantata ospitalità e con il terrore che se non lo concedessimo potremmo trovare una recensione faldopo poche ore.Abbiamo istituito anche una nuova figura professionale, "il salva recensione": sarebbe il cameriere meno impegnato in quel momento, che viene inviato al tavolo di cui si prevede lo scontento, "a fare conversazione". This small Trattoria really sets the bar a bit higher. The food was just amazing. The waitress got out of her way to explain every dish on the menu (only Italian). We were seated inside because of a thunderstorm shortly before but it was pleasant (except the steep stairs). The wine list is also good. Prices are reasonable for the quality and portions of food. The location is on a hilltop, so don't forget to walk further up and enjoy the view!

I love try the local and typical cuisine when we are abroad and this was exceptional. One dish that was quite unique was a "pesto:" of raw bacon. The view and the wine and the attentive owners made for a memorable late lunch.

This small very nice family restaurant had one of the best borlenghi I have had.We got several back-up of them and everyone was perfect.Also the fiorentina steak was very good that we had perfectly cooked.The service was good and we went out of the restaurant very satisfied.Thanks to the chef for the borlenghi
