Antica Posta

A very pleasant-looking place, an old stagecoach station - if a bit aggressively restored. We appreciated very much stuffed chicken and risotto with beetrots and fresh cheese (goat, maybe). The risotto managed to taste rich and intense by combining two mild, complementary flavours. The owner enthused about desserts from Domenico Spadafora, a famous patissier. We found them good, but less impressive than the main courses. All very pleasant except unclear rules for applying discounts, or so we felt. To be specific, the main courses we ordered were both in the day's specials (not discounted) and in the menu. We were told the discount applies to dishes in the menu, so we expected it. What a sad way to spoil a good experience.

Osteria Alla Grande

I'm not a restaurant I'm not a trattoria I just simply and humbly an Osteria, if you don't know the difference take a italian dictionary so you can understand the big difference. Regards bob lo smilzo ttoria

Ok if you're used to 5 star service and modern "Nuevo Cuisine" this place might not be for you. But! If you're looking for authentic and traditional Milanese food this stunning Osteria hits the nail smack bang on the head. The owners are characters who always try to make sure you leave with a smile on your face, the walls are adorned with various memorabilia they have picked up over the years giving Alla Grade a classically eclectic charm that is all to rare nowadays. The stand out dishes for me are the AWESOME ravioli which is bathed in the best broth I have ever tasted, and the traditional Cotaletta which puts Alla Grandes opponents in the area to complete shame. I could probably eat here everyday of my life. Grazie per tutti!

Osteria dei Malnat

Dined here twice.New restaurant near De Angeli/Gambara metro stations in a residential area. Simple furnishings but tall ceilings and clean ambience with see-through kitchen. There are several 'milanese' restaurants in the city, but sadly most have gradually deteriorated into tourist traps with surly service and average food.OdM seems better than this - so far. Nice menu with several local specialties most of them well executed and certainly a change from the usual.OK wine selection and some local craft beers. Pleasant. Why only 4/5? Service is still patchy (better last time - hopefully they are sorting this out) and prices are a little high in my view....assume €35 pp for a dinner w/o drinks.I will return.
