Our Auckland house recently sold at Auction and the Real Estate company gave us $200 voucher to dine at Salt.We managed to eat and drink our way through $193 and we throughly stuffed. The entrees were excellent, bread and dips and a bouillabaisse with sour dough bread. The pan fried market fish was snapper and I had the taste of beef, wagyu beef an$ eye fillet, yum.Finished off with desserts were equally nice and finished off with coffee. In July itâs dine in as itâs a bit chilly on the deck overlooking the marina. The fire was lit and very cosy.Nice quiet atmosphere on a Sunday night.Staff were very friendly and took care of us.The food was excellent and goes along with the prices. We have dine here several times and have never been disappointed. Thanks Salt for a lovely evening and thank you to the Real Estate Company B and T. Cheers.

I once lived in this cute little cottage and I love that Nina has taken such good care of the place and kept a lot of it's original personality. Great service, lovely food, good coffee and you can't beat it's location in the heart of the best little town in our Country!

Yesterday I was looking at all of the Trip Advisor reviews for restaurants in Whitianga. I narrowed it down to three and then checked out their menus. When I open Squids Bar and Restaurant right there on the entree list (starters) were Mussels Kilpatrick. Now, I have had "Kilpatrick" in my name for more than 6 decades, but I had never eaten that dish--or even heard of it. I figured it was destiny, so we went there for dinner. We were not disappointed! Excellent food! I, of course, had to get the mussels for starter, my friend ordered fish tacos--and we are from Texas so we know fish tacos! They were very, very good. That was easily the farthest from Texas I have ever ventured into our beloved "Tex-Mex". The main course (that we split) was the sesame fish and it had a delightful ginger salad greens that came with it, both are tasty. Despite being completely full of diners we had excellent service. The staff was exceptionally friendly. I will return here, but not JUST for the Mussels! I recommend a booking on the weekends as there were several "walk-ins" who wanted to eat, but there was no more room!

Flat White arrives in a Latte bowl and no froth. Just what I ordered THANK YOU. You would not beleive how hard it is to get a flat white without froth in so many places around NZ

We had a great tasting menu with wine pairings. This is a true fine dining experience without the pretension and without the hefty price tag! Loved the food and the reasonably priced wine selection. Service was friendly and down to earth. Would love to go back, and would go out of our way for another meal here.
