We had lunch here with friends. The food was well below expectations, even on my friends' cheese toasty the cheese was only half melted. My $19 fish burger came with unmelted cheese, a barely toasted bun, and some kind of awful tasting sauce somewhere in the middle. Only the chips and coffee were good. After quite a wait there was at least 15 minutes until everyone at our table had their meal.

The Paeroa Restaurant & Cafe is a locally owned family restaurant. With a vast menu ranging from A la Carte to Stonegrill, there is something for everyone. We take bookings and walk in's. We look forward to seeing you soon at the restaurant.
A typical good value pub meal. We had the stone grill which was really good. This was followed by their unique version of creme Brule which was excellent and very memorable. Service was friendly. Wine selection quite basic but very good and reasonably priced.

Typical pub type premises, the menu was limited, the meals were quite good with large helpings. Parking is handy out on the street front. The food is typical kiwi steaks, pork medallions and fish and chips with generous helpings . The toilets were very clean and the premises were clean and staff were friendly and helpful. A large group of locals were present so it is obviously popular with them. Would eat there again if visiting Paeroa.

We enjoyed a wonderful sit-down breakfast here. The cafe has a lovely ambiance, friendly staff and serves great, flavorful meals. The creamy mushrooms were gourmet fare, the best Iâve ever had anywhere in NZ.

Off the main road, we stumbled upon this cafe as we walked into a small alleyway. Probably only known to the locals here as visitors would probably never venture beyond the main road of Belmont Road. Lovely pies and pastries and a beautiful hidden garden to complete the ambience. For visitors who are driving past this little âblink-your-eyes-and-youâll-miss-itâ town...go off the regular path and find The Refinery. Itâll be worth your while.
