This great cafe was an absolute delight of a discovery about 500m off the main road through Omarama. Tania’s repartee with her customers was THE outstanding feature, but the coffee is good and the food excellent. We stopped for breakfast but they have a full bar too for dinner.Highly recommend.

Stopped for fish n chips - quality was OK but the blue cod was $8.50 per piece (which is ok) but these were the smallest pieces you have ever seen - a total rip off.

This restaurant was located actually inside the Heritage Gateway Hotel and seemed to be favorite choice of big groups tours on the way to or from Christchurch. Thus it was quite crowded and busy. As our lunch menu we were offered a great buffet steak choices of lamb, beef and chickens with lots of vegetables, noodles and rice. The sauces were excellent. The restaurant and its toilets were also quite clean and tidy. We were really enjoying having lunch in this restaurant, especially it was also supported by good panorama around the restaurant as well as friendly, polite and helpful staff :-)
