Firstly, the good news. The coffee really is very good and the food is good (albeit not exceptional). But the service is perennially average at best (and below average on some occasions) and the prices are very definitely on the high side. You know you're in trouble when they don't show their prices next to the food itself. The tables are just that little bit too close together and so you don't feel you have privacy and the place is a little cramped anyway. It's not the worst but it certainly isn't the best in the vicinity although it charges as if it is.

good food, beer a pit pricy for a bar, service slow. we had to go to the resturant counter twice to request service, for drinks and desert. this was in the resturant part that only had a few customers

Brought to you by the same owners of One Tree Grill, Little Jimmy offers a completely different type of experience. Little Jimmy is a casual, down-to-earth bar & eatery where you can kick back and relax with friends, complete with an upstairs function spa
Great to sot up stairs in the relative quiet...food consist and innovative without going too off piste. We will be back

As we were staying at this hotel for a few days while attending a training course, we ate at this restaurant for breakfast and dinner multiple times. Unfortunately, while the food was delicious, the service was very slow and the staff appeared a bit useless. We learnt on the first night to book a table if there were more than 2 of us, yet we still had to wait for our table to be ready and there was a long wait for food once seated. Eating at 8.30pm is not ideal after a long day. Such a shame because the food really was good. It would put me off going back to this hotel .Dear Holly, Thank you for your feedback detailing your experience while staying at Sudima Hotel Auckland Aiport recently. We stopped off for breakfast, it was ideal for us as it was a 5 minute walk from the hotel. There were a lot of menu options available throughout the day, and there was a good selection of breakfast options. A good choice in the Mangere area.

I ate here multiple times during my stay. Generally speaking the food we served was good and breakfast was delicious. However there was one time when the food that arrived was a completely different standard to what we had eaten previously and it was disappointing. Hopefully this was a one off as the next trip it was fine. We had one incident where the rest of my table had been served and eaten and my meal was yet to arrive. When i asked about it, i was told it had been accidentally dropped and was being remade. I was waiting for over an hour in the end. While an apology was received, there was no attempt to compensate me. However the meals are yummy, i would recommend ordering a side to go with them. The Bao buns was my favorite meal. The majority of the staff were friendly and nice but there was one in particular who succeeded in letting us know how much of a pain she thought we were. Perhaps she could do with some lessons in customer service.

Outstanding cellared wines, innovative cuisine, thoroughly professional service - as one of Auckland's favourite local restaurants, One Tree Grill offers a complete dining experience.
We planned on Orbit360 but due to the Sky City Convention Centre fire we looked for fine dining that was closer to where were staying. We had fine dining that exceeded our expectations and had a great waiter, Max. The Whitebait (NZ delicacy) was served coated on top of egg omlete roll. This made a great improvement from being stuck together with egg in the traditional manner. And that was the start of wonderful dishes presented in fine manner.

Szimpla Gastro Bar is a new concept bar & restaurant located under the ibis budget Hotel at Auckland Airport, not far from Mangere Bridge, Manukau. A home away from home for visitors to New Zealand staying in neighbouring hotels and an exciting new social
Been to Szimpla a couple of times now, my Dad frequents New Zealand and we often end up here for a meal in between his flights. The service is average and each time we visit, they insist on seating us in less than desirable tables and we always ask to be moved. The food is good nothing to rave about really, but good value for money as they are generous sizes that I often end up taking half my meal away.

The Villa Maria Auckland Winery, Vineyard Café & Cellar Door is open 7 days, serving delicious food and wines. Enjoy a glass of Villa Maria wine on the terrace which overlooks the Ihumatao vineyard, and share a platter or have lunch.
We lunched at Villa Maria Winery in February for a 60th birthday and again in March for a 70th birthday. The second time it was extremely busy because there was a massive marquee set up right next to the restaurant, with a big conference happening, but considering that, the service was still pretty much up to speed as on other visits. The food is always lovely here but it is definitely one of those places that goes for the flash looking food display over quantity, and meals are made dearer by having to purchase a salad or vegetables as a separate item. I know plenty of people who have been caught out on their first visit there, ordering their meal and expecting that it will be the norm of a full meal (vegetables with it, not a separate purchase). The staff are always lovely and accommodating :-)
