Things to do in Levin
If you are wanting a have a good night out with family and friends, do not go to Lily's Ranch house. The music was great but the atmosphere is not with the patrons clearly resentful of anybody "new" attending their local. Even the band referred to the patrons as resembling cruise ship attendees. We found the food to be less than average with inconsistent, small food portions with my mother receiving one piece of fish that was uncooked and the chicken Thai curry being more roast chicken than curry with little Thai sauce which barely covering the chicken. After suffering verbal abuse being hurled at us by some half witted red neck with an anger management issue, (because we were talking) we could only describe the experience as being very poor. I would not recommend Lily's to anyone.
I called into the Country Kitchen Cafe with a friend for lunch, I hadnt been in since the previous owner under The Brown Butter name had left. What a pleasant surprise. All the cakes and savoury items looked so fresh and inviting. There wasnt a huge amount in the cabinet but it was quite a decision to choose as it all looked so good.We ordered off the lunch menu, a cajun chicken salad, lovely fresh salad and a good size serving. My friend had a lamb burger with a salad in a tortilla wrap which she really enjoyed, along with a generous bowl of crispy fries. The flat whites we had have to be the best coffee ive had for a long time, velvety and hot.We each took a slice of Plum Crumble slice with us for afters. It definatly tasted as good as it looked. I would recommend this cafe as a great stop for coffee or lunch.

Friendly welcoming cafe. Open daily from 9am to 4pm. Off street parking. Great coffee served with home cooked baking and meals. Delicious full cooked breakfast, fresh Tarakihi served on Thursday and Friday, Roast with dessert on Sunday. A hidden jewel in
Came here with a group of friends to celebrate a birthday. I hadn't been there for a wee while but found the food to be consistent, fresh and hot. I had creamy mushrooms which were so tasty and plenty of them too; I would certainly order this again.

Welcome back to a friendly environment and warm charm that is uniquely kiwi. Weâve been a icon of New Zealand dining since the beginning. You'll find a choice for everyone. All the way from a toddlers menu to a 2-course and 3-course set menu for our value
The food is always good, almost like home cooked meals, nothing that's going to shake your tastebuds and demand your full attention. Our meals were like something mum would have cooked. The restaurant is always clean and the wait staff are attentive and service is snappy. I think the atmosphere, although in keeping with the Cobb and Co branding, feels a little tired. Would go again, but not for a special meal out.

A great variety of food, great presentation and best of all, the coffee and food tasted great! Went with a group of friends to celebrate a birthday, and we all choose different meals, and all looked tempting and inviting. No one was disappointed. A great time had by all. A very popular place!

I have hyperacusis and took my ear plugs out to give our order which was a lovely little salmon and cream cheese bagel with a very tasty salad. My husband had two poached eggs on whole grain toast. When the man who took the order brought us our perfect cappuccinos, he offered to turn the music down (which was not overly loud). I was impressed by this caring gesture and said 'Yes please'. The Cinema cafe has a lovely atmosphere. Their fruit loaf is delicious too.Hey Mary, I'm really glad you enjoyed your experience with us.I will pass this on to our awesome team. See you back here again soon!

A friendly place with good food and great atmosphere, located at the front of the Levin Club Inc. We're open for dinner Wednesday and Friday from 6pm to 8.30pm.
I wouldn't be able to count how many times how many times we've driven past this cafe - it turns out it is well worth stopping. Today we did and enjoyed a lovely lunch. The welcome was friendly and the cafe itself is spacious. There was a setting for a large group as well as tables for 2s and 4s.The all day breakfast menu yielded the "Man Cave" for my man and he was a very contented diner. He is of the school that likes all the deliciousness of the meatier elements of breakfast - even at lunch time.I opted for the fried chicken from the lunch menu. It was wonderful - crunchy and well seasoned on the outside and deliciously tender on the inside. It was served with coleslaw and a very tasty chipolte mayonaise and very well executed chips - which I vowed I wouldn't eat but then couldn't resist. There is good parking available outside the cafe and it's an easy turn off if you are travelling south toward Wellington. When you're travelling north sometimes it seems like a bad idea to turn off out of the traffic, thinking how hard it will be to get back into it again. Someone has already solved that problem - there is an underpass under busy State Highway 1 that means you can park in your direction of travel and walk safely under the road!

We drove past this cafe and stopped for lunch. Food was good, but the service was even better. Staff are very polite and attentive and made sure you're looked after. We dealt with 3 different staff and the experience was the same overall. Definitely be back.

I have been bitterly disappointed by going out for brunch lately. But this place is a little gem and I think a great place to stop if heading north or visiting Horowhenua. Table service which barely any cafe in my home town of Nelson can get a grip on, the concept of seasoning and also not a hard poached egg in sight. But the jewel in the crown was the menu has black pudding on it! Other cafes take note because this is how you do it. You don't need to be fancy just get the basics right.
