Find out what Neapolitan restaurants to try in Padua. Known as Padova in Italian, Padua may be the oldest city in northern Italy, if you believe the claims of its 12th-century BC founding by Trojans. It certainly has history, including its famous university (one of Europe’s oldest, from 1222), the 13th-century Basilica di Sant'Antonio (resting place of St. Anthony), and Scrovegni Chapel, with Giotto’s famed 14th century frescos. The magnificent Prato della Valle, a 950,000-square-foot elliptical square, is thought to be Europe’s second-biggest.

Been there with my old school mates a couple of days ago.The pizzas were to die for, haven't had a real pizza napoletana as for a while. The place is really cosy welcoming and vibrant as family run. We had a lovely time together with the mates, really looking forward to next time.

excellent pizza and informal restaurant. Cited in guidebooks, but not ruined by tourists.
Great pizzas, lovely service. Nice âvibeâ throughout. Real wood burning oven. Lots of selection, great prices. The place fills up by about 9, so consider this when going. However, the turn over is brisk and there are three dining rooms.I trusted our waiter to bring me a Grappa, sight unseen. It turned out to be an Amarone Grappa of very good quality. On the bill, I was charged an extremely reasonable â¬3.50. Frankly, if I had been charged twice that, I would have been happy!House wines by the 1/4 and 1/2 litre are very reasonable, as were the good selection of draft beers.

We selected this restaurant having seen other reviews and noted it was a short walk from our hotel. It was quiet when we arrived but got busier as the evening progressed. The menu has wide choices. It is in Italian but the friendly waiters were very helpful. They were happy to serve prosecco and wine in little pitchers. All food is very fresh and served hot. Very relaxed time. Both evenings we were tempted by the desserts cart which they bring to the table. Free taster dish and also a free after dinner liquor. We just felt we should return the second evening as we knew we would be well looked after. Do go- we are sure you will not be disappointed.
