Superbly exquisite, great ambience with excellent BBQ. Ordered their platter and thoroughly enjoyed every bite of it. And found the price quite reasonable.
Delicious traditional cuisine with exceptional flavour and services, Experience the luxury of Memorable dinner with your beloved ones in the middle of dancing fountains accompanied with melodious ghazals and an exquisite ambiance. Place of your all casual
If you are looking forward to have some astonishing dining experience with traditional royal cuisine, then âTHE POETâ is the only go to place. It is a freshly opened restaurant situated in the middle of glorious surroundings of Minar-e-Pakistan with Dancing Fountain in Greater Iqbal Park.Itâs exterior and interior, everything is worth visiting. From entering the restaurant till exit, everything was very well executed: A very warm reception with flower garland (bracelet), waiters leading us to our table, beautifully written poetry on walls, huge chandeliers, melodious live ghazals and cozy ambiance makes this place extra special. Now letâs shed some light on FOOD we ate.In starters we had: *CHEF SPECIAL SALAD: It was simply amazing, full of fruits, vegetables and lots of nuts. *TILLGOZA:It was an Arabian Hummus served with tandoor sesame bread. In main course we had: *DIYA KABAB: As the name suggests, there was lightening at the end of each kabab sticks for presentation. Kebabs were made of chicken with normal amount of spices.*RESHMI TIKKA: It was simple chicken boneless that wasnât soft and juicy as it should be. *CHILAM DAR BIRYANI: Biryani hidden under puff pastry is not a new thing now but if the flavour of mutton masala mixed with rice and garnished with nuts is exceptional, then itâs definitely worth trying.*MUTTON SHIKARPURI: It was bit sour with sufficient amount of salt and red chilies.*MUTTON KUNNA: Itâs a must try thing for all mutton lovers out there.*MAHRANI MURGH: As per itâs name, it was Mahrani of all the dishes we ordered. It looked like just an ordinary boneless chicken but had special indian character. Now coming towards desserts. We ordered: *ZAFRANI RABDI JAMUNS: Hot gulab jamuns sinked in rabdi milk, topped with crushed almonds and pistachios was simply a latest idea. Taste was out of the world. *SHAHI KHEER: It was a total miss with very minimal amount of sugar in it. *MEETHA PAAN: A guy was present to provide complimentary paan to all the visitors. Paan leaf was fresh and full of all paan ingredients. P.s Itâs Highly Recommended.

Place is fantastic with local cultural touch. Couples love this place due to open air and indoor romantic dinner atmosphere. Food is not bad but prices are high. Quantity is ok as per written on the Menu card. One should try this too when in Lahore. Important, must ask them to have Peeru Pipet Gallery Visit.

The décor is hip and fun, and the greeter at the door is quite awesome and fierce looking. We sampled several Lahori dishes, meat and vegetables, that were delicious including the chicken charga roasted on the outdoor spit. Eating outside was a treat and as it was somewhat cool in February the heaters were welcome.
