We like to try another meal than a western one and landed in Didier of Fort de France. The owner gave us a lesson on how to make a good ti punch by giving us almost full botle of white rhum to mix it our self. It is our aperitif. For dinner I had a delicious lamb meat cooked in tajine and my hub got a beefsteak with French fries. The last we got before we paid the bill, is a compliment of 1/5th glass of liquor from the owner. We left the restaurant with satisfaction and got a high scor from me.

The reason to come here is local color (and a tasty casual inexpensive meal). The ladies behind the counter speak a little English; the place is full of a mix of locals; and they serve the traditional national Creole dish: Boudin, a sausage made of bread and nutmeg (although it wasn't on the menu; a local told us to try it). Honestly it was an experience, but I do prefer my sausage with meat! Now let's talk Kabob:The namesake dish, Chicken Kabob, is very tasty meat that is recognizable as real chicken unlike some kabob made of mysterious composite meat ; and the plate was full with the kabob, fries, and salad. A good buy for $7EU. Two plates and a local beer $18EU
