Makarios had the best falafel I've had since I was in the Middle East. Since its near the UAB hospital campus, there were several docs and other medical professionals eating there. That guarantees that it's healthy as well as tasty!

There were three of us for lunch, and only two of us had had Lebanese food before. I ordered Kibby, which came with tabouli, fresh fruit, wild rice and hummus. There was enough food for two. One person ordered Kafta kabob platter, which came with fresh fruit, wild rice, a salad, hummus and warm Syrian bread. The third member of our party ordered a Kafta sandwich, which came with tabouli and hummus and warm Pita bread. The restaurant was very clean and our server (Eric) was superb. We look forward to returning.
