My daughter and I ate lunch here on Monday. It was quiet and peaceful. There were few customers. Two and a half hours passed before we knew it. The view of the ancient bull ring and aqueduct were unsurpassable. The food was lovely. We split a steak dish and they presented it on two separate plates, one for each. Each steak was garnished with fried onions, an asparagus spear, sauce and a cherry tomato. We each had an appetizer and split a dessert, each with coffee. It was all around $40. Very affordable but very luxurious. We loved it and will repeat this memorable experience in Zacatecas for sure.

Its a franchise and its mostly geared towards tourists. I'm not saying I'm an expert, but I do know food and the here the food is mediocre and expensive. I had three gorditas, the egg was ok, the bean gordita tasted like cardboard and the mole was average.

Reservation is absolutely necessary. Dont be too early dont be late. Staff of restaurant served us correctly but loveless...not too much attention and dedication to their work. However this restaurant is a must go as it is everything what you expect of a mexican restaurant. And this one is mixed with the story of Francisco Villa and the mexican revolution. All walls dedicated to General Villa, funny menu with old articles in spanish..â as hecwas killed by bullits the left holes as big as poppy flowersâ....â he loved horses....and beautiful women....its said he married 75 timesâ . Well for sure wine was not important in times of mexican revolution and conquest of Zacatecas by Villa but -hey- Villa will turn around in his grave if he finds out that the only wine served is Casillo de Diablo from Chile and not the excellent lical wine from the tierra adentro winery just 25 kms away. Of course you can have a Michelada or a tequila or mezcal cocktail....but even this was not easy. Food is ok many enchiladas and sopes. Arrechera was good , tampiqueña of pork very dry and too spicy..........no espresso only café de puchero= heated up in pot with some cinnamon. You have to RENEW ! Espresso machines are not expensiv and mex coffee is fab!

Original y Unico en la Ciudad de Zacatecas
I love this restaurant! It's the second time I go, it's always a discovery going there and you have very good food as well. Last time we spent 3 hours there, playing their game which is looking for some decorations in all the restaurant. It was super fun!! I recommend this place

Across from the Catedral, only two blocks from the Museo Pedro Coronel, Acropolis is well located. We were enjoyed specialties of the restaurant, tamales (2 pork. 2 chicken) and enchiladas. Server was pleasant and prompt. The café Americano was very good. The only down side was the booth was quite cramped. A fine stop for lunch.

Place is very cute and the menu looked great. We were very excited to try it for breakfast. Unfortunately, the food was terrible. Chilaquiles were stale, âfreshâ orange juice was watered down and churros were worst weâd ever tried. We left without eating most of our meal.

Went here yesterday and we where not disappointed at all! I canât eat pizza but had steak and it was surprisingly great! Rest of the family had pizza and pasta and it was super good. Service was spectacular as well and the ambiance is very casual, with paintings on the walls. You will really like it!<3

Iâm usually apathetic about a restaurantâs atmosphere, but here, the atmosphere takes center stage.Donât get me wrong; the food is awesome. As others have said, itâs like going over to your uncleâs house for lunchâgood home cooking, simple but delicious and well-excited.But the atmosphere, centered around the proprietor, Chuy, is what truly makes it like eating with family. When you first enter, Chuy welcomes you in like heâs been expecting you all week. He shows you to your seat, asks your name, and says that he hopes youâre hungry. The âmenuâ consists of Chuy pulling out a piece of scratch paper, drawing a picture of a plate, and scratching a few things on it. Todayâs plate was four enchiladas rojas, bistec con nopales, arroz, y frijoles with jamaica to drink, followed by coffee to finish.Thatâs it. No overwhelming choice of entrees or anything. It comes out quickly, but...que rico! Itâs expertly prepared with flavor and love. While youâre waiting for your food, heâll probably offer you a tour of his restaurantâthere are five different rooms, all dedicated to a different subject. He may take a phone call from a customer or a friend, friends and family may wander in and out, and heâll randomly strike up conversation with you (in my case, his English was about on par with my Spanish, so that made it fun). If you are struggling to finish your plate, heâll encourage you to âcome, come, come!â (Eat, eat, eat!â)Itâs a touristy stop, sure, but I was the only gringo in sight, so I donât at all doubt its authenticity.Definitely a worthwhile stop. You wonât regret it!
