Cibo abbondante e davvero buonissimo! abbiamo gustato una grande empanada di formaggio come antipasto, e di secondo pollo e manzo alla piastra, il tutto servito con tortino di riso, un po' di pasta, insalata, pomodori, patatine e tantissime salse a scelta. Il personale è molto cordiale e disponibile. da ritornarci appena possibile!

You can find several good places in this small town (Xpujil), but the food in this restaurant is delicious. I ordered a Tampiqueña (beef, enchiladas, salad, fried banana, guacamole) and the dish was very good. In addition you can order fruit juices (I ordered a watermelon juice, to refresh yourself of this hot weather (about 38°C.)In addition, the service is very good (but a little slow) and they take credit cards.We didn't stay at that hotel, just visited the restaurant.

No mystery here. You drop in, order a half chicken, and enjoy it with its free sides and good pickled habaneros. You won't regret it, and won't break bank either. I believe the half-chicken was like 60 pesos.

Place was recommended by hotel Maya Balam, but when we got there we were hesitant to go in. Place looks clean but like a truck stop. There was a truck driver sitting inside clearing his plate. We thought we'd give it a chance. Both ordered the steak Mexicano (onions and tomato) and it was wonderful! Came with rice and soft taco's. Service was good, prices low, atmosphere, well....not great but the food made up for it. I recommend!

We have booked this hotel before and were not quite sure what to expect. When arriving the restaurant does not look too welcoming, but the kindness and hospitality of the owners highly make up for that. Once we have seen the room we were quite sure that this has been a great choice. Very clean room with good air conditioning, a nice place protected by mosquito nets to sit outside in very comfortable chairs. We had booked a tour to the jungle very early in the morning (pickup at 5:30 am) and we were even offered to get a coffee or a small breakfast that early. After arrival of the tour the restaurant had closed, but the owner came by our room and asked if we were hungry, so he opened to make us something to eat. The food and especially the breakfast has been pretty good also!

The food was delicious and typical Mexican. The waiter Roberto is really kind and friendly. He made me lasagna with chicken, for the first time in his life. I highly recommend the pancakes with Nutella, they are the best!!

The exterior of this restaurant looked inviting so we decided to take a chance. The staff was friendly and the food was really quite good. This location is clean and has a nice selection of dishes to choose from. They also make some delicious banana shakes.The prices were reasonable and it seemed to be a popular spot as more and more people arrived while we waited for our meal. I noticed a map on the wall that pinpointed the location of the many pyramids in the region and wish I had asked them where I could obtain one like it as it seemed to have all the sites listed unlike any map on sale in the tourist areas.

We stayed at the bungalows the owner of the restaurant owns, and he directed us there. Iâm glad he did since itâs a very nice mom ân pop traditional restaurant. The menu is limited since small Mexican village restaurants tend to only serve when they recently killed or caught, so expect a lot of chicken on the menu. The food was good and cooked to order with lots of chili sauce to choose from. They donât sell beer, but itâs okay to buy beer at one of the local markets across the street and bring it in. Needless to say, the prices were very low with entrees running only 75 to 90 pesos. Even the large bottle of beer from across the street was only 30 pesos.

Options in Xpujil are somewhat limited, so I was relieved to find a spot that served good food at reasonable prices. This isn't going to be the culinary highlight during your trip to the Yucatan, but this is a solid choice serving traditional Mexican fare. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and though I'm not a vegetarian, I did notice a few meatless options on the menu for you non meat eaters. Whether you eat meat or not, the agua de jamaica, (sweetened hibiscus tea) was sooo good. Some places make it too sweet or water it down; this one was perfect. We ordered a whole pitcher for two people and drank every last drop!
