FOOD: I am a chile relleno lover, and this is the real deal here. The food came out almost immediately and was hot but unfortunately it cooled off very quickly, which was not nice. The cilantro sauce was good but not special. I do like that they play a Mexican radio station.I am giving four stars because although the entree was good, the chips and salsa were not that great. Most Mexican restaurants I visit these days have fresh-made chips. The chips here tasted like packaged chips and the salsa was bland. Maybe the chips aren't a big deal here because the food comes out so quickly that there isn't much gap of time after ordering and when the food arrives. The service was fantastic, but there is nothing outstanding enough here that I would return. I will say that if you want fast service but better than fast food quality, this is the place to go.Note: My GPS repeatedly took me to the wrong location. They are located on Highway 154 just west of the junction with 1002 and the Four Corners Grocery.

You will most likely have to ask where to find this place but when you do you will be thrilled. With that being said, if you like authentic Mexican food and not Tex-Mex you will love it, because it is the real thing.

I was really impressed with the "Laredo" enchilada plate as it had fajita steak and chicken on top with a lot of cheese. I'd never had enchiladas like that before and it was really good. The atmosphere was about average and the service was good.
This seemed to be a newly opened restaurant, or perhaps it had just been repainted - it looked new at least. We needed a quick bite while passing through, and the place looked empty. We had a new waitress who was unfamiliar with the menu, but she was very attentive. She brought out a basket of chips and a little pitcher of salsa to fill our bowls with. Chips were good, but the salsa, while adequate, was not up to the level that makes me fill up on chips and salsa before my meal. And that was very fortunate for me! I had a dinner special with tacos al carbon with beans and guacamole. Ay-yi-yi! This might be the best grilled beef I have ever had. Totally unexpected flavor, perfection on a plate! I seriously wiped my plate clean in no time. And the price was very reasonable, at that. We will definitely dine here again if we are in town.

My wife and I were driving around looking for places to take pictures and realized we were in need of lunch. We happened to find Richie's and now are glad we did! From the moment we walked in we were warmly greeted and promptly seated. The decor was an mildly eclectic mix of all the things that make Texas unique. Not over the top, but fun. The food is a nice mix of Tex-Mex and comfort dishes. I had the Chicken Fried Steak, which can be a toss of the coin in some places, but here it was just the way I like it. Old fashioned, hand made and lots of good gravy! My wife had a burger, which was almost more than she could finish it was so big. This is a place we will return to the next time we are in the area.
