Authentic Tex-mex food. Portions are large. The food is fresh and made from scratch. The flavors are unique and imaginative. They use authentic ingredients to make unique dishes. The service is friendly. The ambiance is very Southwest. Prices are very readonable. A great family atmosphere. I've eaten there several times and the food and service are consistent.

My daughter's friend ordered hot wings (I don't know why because it's a Mexican restaurant) within 2 minutes they were on the table. I asked the waiter if they were someone else's and he said no. The wings were cold when she bit into them. I asked for fresh wings. He brought the wings back in 2 minutes or so with the same wing that had been bitten off of and wilted celery from being microwaved. That is a matter of cleanliness and decency. Especially during flu season. I asked the girls if they wanted to leave and they said no so we stayed. Then my daughter ended up with a 2.5 inch piece of yarn in her rice. The yarn was supposedly from the vegetables that come in tied together. The waiter was nice but I was incredibly disappointed for the second time. The food used to be consistently good now it's hit or miss.

Panchito's is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants. In the small town of Whiteville, there are three restaurants with Mexican fare. The other two are slightly more established; yet Panchito's still holds its own. The service is attentive. The food is delicious. And, the prices are fair. Panchito's is spacious enough for large groups, yet intimate enough for a couple's dinner. They have a small, separate bar -- but I have never been in there. Try it out!

Great menudo which is what I always get. Available every day not just Sundays like other places. Friendly, and beautiful, staff! The tacos are great also. And I tried their fresh made tamales the other day. Fantastic!
