So, my son loves this place and convinced me to try it. Walking in, I was impressed and thinking it looked like it might be pretty good. The idea is good. You get to go through and pick all of your ingredients like a subway for tacos and burritos. The food all looked good and fresh. The employees helping us were very friendly and helpful. But. My food was cold and had no flavor at all. I ordered the nachos and a naked burrito and loaded up on toppings for both. But they tasted the same. Blah! Blah! Blah! Don't think I will return. Can't say I'd recommend it althoughy teenage son would.

I have been here several times and always found the experience to be good. Service is fairly quick, and the food is decent with decent size portions. Love the unlimited chips and salsa too. Usually will only go when I have a 20% off coupon from Val-Pak though.

We hadn't been to this restaurant since they opened. I couldn't remember if there was a reason or with all the other restaurants to choose from, we just never returned. We were greeted right away and were brought chips. He had to go back for the salsa. The chips would have been good, if they had been warm. Since no one else was in the place at the time (5:00 pm), I guess we were given leftovers from lunch. He could have skipped the "salsa", it has terrible. My husband described it as ketchup with a little spice added to it. This was the first time ever, in a Mexican restaurant, that we didn't fill up on chips before the meal came. I wasn't looking forward to what I ordered, since the chips and salsa weren't great. I received my meal and then the server went back to get my husbands. Apparently carrying two plates at the same time was too much effort. I will say, my chicken quesadilla was pretty tasty. It would have been better with some good salsa on it. My husband enjoyed his dinner. I think this visit reinforced why we never returned after the first trip. Which is disappointing, because I'd rather frequent a family owned restaurant then a chain restaurant. I just don't think Carlos measures up.

Alissa was the best server I have experienced in a long time. Never asked for anything, met our needs before asked. Pleasant and quick. We came there before our flight. We ordered Chimacangas,, Tacos, and quesadillas. The food was good, not great. Chimachanga should be crunchier. Chips were served warm with salsa and was very good.
The food is always wonderful here and the prices are good too. I've tried many different things on the menu and I love them all. Their chips are warm and the salsa is delicious. The only reason I can't give a 5 star is for the service. It's not bad, it's just not enough wait staff. There is always only one girl regardless of the time of day or day of the week. She does the best she can but we end up waiting a long time. So don't go if you are in a hurry or starving because it takes longer than we expect. I guess that's how you can tell its authentic. Mexican time. They also include the gratuity/tip in your bill so don't let them double dip ya. Oh, and they don't have any gift cards but they really should so as to be more competitive. They also do a lot of take out orders and they are very small with about 10 booths or tables. I still highly recommend it though because the food is fantastic. It's in the back of a small store so don't let that stop you.

If you want to get in some true local color, on your way to the airport, stop here.Make sure you get the basic Mexican style taco, with barbacoa or pork or carnitas. Its so basic and simple and fresh, all around. Its really really a no frill place so don't expect a hostess or any of that but the service was good and friendly; only one, young waitress was swamped with a big table of 8 or so but she kept it together. prices are great too. This is one of those great finds, thanks to a google maps search and great reviews, well deserved.

Every day at 8 a.m., we start chopping veggies, soaking beans, and prepping our mesquite-fired grill. Not because we have to, but because we believe in delicious flavors made-to-order, from hand-rolled enchiladas to our sizzling fajitas to guacamole made
Stopped into this location last night for the first time for dinner. Around 6 pm. Seated quickly. Not very busy. Nice interior. Nothing special. Music not too loud. Nice Happy Hour menu. 2 and 4 dollar beers. Dos Equis amber on tap which is one of my faves. Kelley was our server. She was very prompt and friendly. The chips and salsa were okay. Salsa was not chunky at all with a little heat. Better than some others. Not as good as Jacks. We had the Mango Whitefish and the Tomatillo Enchiladas. Both were very good. Whitefish was good portion and the pico- mango salsa was tasty. It came with lime cilantro rice and sauteed veggies. The enchiladas had spinach and mushroom with rice and veggies. This meal was exactly what we expected. Good, nice portion, not expensive and great service. Will be back in the future.Looking forward to trying some of the Happy Hour selections.
