We are a small family-run Mexican restaurant serving home-cooked authentic meals. We offer carry out and delivery and encourage our customers to call ahead with their order since everything is made fresh.
Small, family-owned restaurant in Waukegan, serving fresh Mexican food. We are going to be regulars now that we found it! Everything was hot and fresh, cooked to order. Even the red sauce at the table was fresh! Small menu means they do everything perfectly. Had what I wanted, with leftovers for later. Super-friendly staff, exceedingly clean and bright. Great for a family meal. Open Thursday to Sunday, with great and reasonably priced weekend special menu items that you can buy by the pound! Try the Bistec de la Mexicana (sort of a fajitas with skirt steak and jalapenos, perfectly charred veggies and meat on the grill) and Choco-flan! (Super moist cakey bottom with flan top)Thank you so much for your review! I hope that you've continued to visit us! I will share your comments with the family, as they will make everyone feel so proud. We've worked hard to have a great restaurant that people will enjoy coming to! Thank you again!

Met a friend nearby who had an appt and stopped at Momcorn after reading they had GF and Vegan choices. We both had the vegan jibarito (al pastor eggplant and plaintain yumminess on a plate). So filling, comforting and tasty. Also had the veggie tamal and it was delicious. We had a homemade passion fruit drink with hints of cinnamon and clove, it was great. The guacamole was so good. What was outstanding was the service we were given! So many helpful answers to our questions and very kind and personable. Will tell others and come again for sure!

As far as taquerias go (and there are plenty to choose from in Waukegan), Toluca is the best due to its extensive menu (including plenty of vegetarian options), quick service and ambience/live entertainment. My husband always gets the burrito al pastor, and I have tried several seafood dishes. If you are overwhelmed by the choices in Mexican restaurants in Waukegan, head to Toluca #2 (the one on Washington Street near Butrick). The only negative is that they have no parking lot.

I love this place. It is nothing fancy, but a whole in the wall restraunt, but the food is great. It is made to order and always fresh. I have not been let down. After a long day of work and you want a real taco, enchilada, etc. this is the place I would go. Family owned and just over all good food. Have a great seafood selection as well. Just give it a try and see for yourself.

Nice place but a little hidden.....I had Chicken Fajitas that were hands down some of the best I've ever eaten. The Margarita was excellent, not too sweet, not too sour. My wife had Chicken Tostadas and really liked the cheese melted on them. Definitely a return visit.

We love earing here. It is the closest to the birder taste we have found. The service is great. The food is plentiful. You get huge portions for your money. On the weekends, the have a mariachi bad that us excellent.
The great thing about Chipotle is that there is a consistancy in the food quality no matter where you go. When I need that healthy Mexican food fix they never let me down. Lots of good food for a good price. This location even offers margaritas! A great way to wind down after a hard day of training.

What a great atmosphere and welcoming staff, we had the pleasure of having Oswaldo as our waiter and he so engaging even offering us a sampling of michelada due to the fact we were gringos .

How many places offer roasted iquana? Seriously varied menu, food was well-prepared (though cerviche was chopped too fine for my taste). Service was a bit spotty. Went before a concert at the Genesee and told the waitress our timing, but had to keep flagging her down. Still, worth checking out.
