Wineries are beginning to rival the sweet-tasting Walla Walla onion as the hallmark of this lovely town at the foot of the Blue Mountains. In fact, the combination of excellent wineries and appealing scenery has put Walla Walla on the map as one of the country's hottest new wine-touring regions. The town's rich history, starting with the Indian tribes who first settled here followed by the early pioneers, the establishment and subsequent tragic demise of a famous mission and then a gold rush, is also a tourist draw. Fascinating museums and historic attractions bring this past to life. Music and the arts are a vital part of this culturally conscious college town, which boasts one of the oldest symphony orchestras west of the Mississippi, frequent summertime blues and jazz concerts, arts festivals and at least 15 art galleries. A revitalized downtown features restored 19th-century buildings, restaurants, galleries and wine-tasting rooms. If you're itching for outdoor fun, head east for hiking, mountain biking and fishing in the Blue Mountains or take the relatively easy Stateline Loop bike trail to Oregon and back.
Things to do in Walla Walla
The ordering and seating is like a fast food restaurant but the prices are like a sit down one. The food was acceptable but I have had much better many times. They had a condiment bar so at least I could get lots of salsa to add to the food. The chips they gave were only a few and not real good. I would advise trying other places.
If you speak to any local about Agapaâs their face will light up. And that is exactly how you will feel after eating at this wonderful food truck located next to the Quirk brewery. Portions are generous, authentic, and delicious. More than that though, the owner really cares about the food he serves and the people who experience it. Had the carne asada tacos- phenomenal! One of my favorite bites, not just in Wallla Walla, but ever!

Only came back because of a family function that I had no input in the restaurant. Food still bad but now even the service has gotten bad. Food served cold. Forgot my wife's order completely so she was served after everyone else about done. And then her order was wrong. No refills on drinks, no refills on the salsa or chips, no silverware for some, not even water for all. Walla Walla has so much better Mexican food to offer don't bother with this place.

This little converted gas station restaurant in the middle of a neighborhood on 3rd St. has some addictive good Mexican food. If you are in Walla Walla and you have a craving for authentic Mexican food check it out. Oh, and the chicken quesadillas are off the charts.

Gustavo was our server and he worked with multiple customers to assure our orders were placed timely. Chicken mole was one of the best I have had. Share the space with the college students who come in swarms and who are great customers. Plenty of parking out front easy to find on Isaacs. A must if you are craving Mexican food.

Had fajitas. The beef was tough stringy and fat. The guacamole was liquified. Neither tasted good. I can do better at just about any Mexican restaurant. The restaurant architecture was very appealing and beautiful, with great domed skylight, and tile work. Also large windows, and well lit.Food quality certainly does not match the structure.

This is a small Mexican restaurant with great food. The restaurant is clean and well organized. The staff were very friendly. I had a Chicken Burrito with black beans and rice which was delicious. The prices are also great. My wife had a Chicken Quesadilla with black rice and beans which she said was also very good. I highly recommend
