Los Cabos is incredible! Absolutely delicious every single time. My husband and I have become regulars here, as we eat here weekly. I adore all of the friendly staff members and their food is consistently amazing. It's inexpensive enough to eat here frequently too, which is a bonus. I stick to the chicken fajitas when I order, however my husband always branches out to try the different specials that they offer. We are impressed the the consistency and simplicity. The beans, rice, and all of the meat always taste fresh. The salsa and tortillas are homemade. There is not a better family owned restaurant in town!

My wife just ate here while vacationing from NC and meeting with two of our local friends. They recommend this restaurant and said it's a small out of line light restaurant, but it has great food. And they were absolutely right! The food was delicious! We had breaded shrimp & arroz con pollo. Everything was well prepared and big portions (we had to use to go boxes because we couldn't finish). The staff was super attentive and checked in on us regularly for drink refills and chips. I highly recommend this fine authentic Mexican restaurant if you're visiting Oceanside/Camp Pendleton. It's right outside the back gate.
On our recent visit, we received excellent, fast service. I highly recommend the barbacoa (BBQ) salad. With the medium salsa and corn, this dish was filling yet not overly heavy. The restaurant was clean and appears well managed. This is a great place to visit after watching a movie across the street.
When a friend suggested I visit this restaurant I was skeptical. However, I walked in the restaurant, went up to the register placed my breakfast order (typical; eggs, sausage and waffle), paid then sat down at an open booth....when my food was delivered to my booth it was not only quick but also delicious! Great little gem of a spot, definitely an upgrade from denny's but at similar or less prices.

You felt as though you were in Mexico. The people were pleasant. The prices were in line with many of the local mexican restaurants. I didn't like the fact that you had to pay extra for chips and salsa. I had an enchilada and a chili rellano plate and it was very good. My husband had the chicken taco salad which he said was good. They serve as several types of beer and soft drinks. We had a coupon so one of our dinners was 50% off. We will go back but they really should consider offering complimentary chips and salsa with your meal.Thank You for taking time and giving us a review. Glad that you enjoyed your food and will be returning:) We apologize that we do not offer complimentary chips n salsa hopefully that doesn't keep you from visiting.

My wife and I were in area and looking for a late lunch. Based on reviews, we choose El Ranchero. It was quite good, very clean, excellent service, and reasonable priced. I had a combination plate and my wife had a tostada. Our one complaint was my wife ordered a margarita during 2 for 1 special, and she was charged full price. Not a deal changer but would have bern the nice to offer some discount. Overall good experience.
