We've been coming here every summer for years, but things have changed and not for the better. Food is a step down from what it used to be while the prices are super expensive...$14 for a burger? I can see that if it's organic or grass fed or something fancy, but this was just a Cisco truck burger and not even a very good one. Also, the portions on a $14 enchilada were pathetically small. Plus the service was poor, to say the least, as we were basically ignored despite the place being fairly quiet. Sad to say but I think our visits to the Stray Dog are coming to an end.

We stopped here for lunch twice while skiing, both times were great. Especially loved the soups. We avoided peak times by stopping in early, around 11-11:30am, and had no problems finding a table or ordering food. I did note that as we left the place was getting significantly more crowded, with long lines to order.

You better make reservations unless you like long waits. We made reservations and were seated right on time. The food was good here. I though the cheese enchiladas was some of the very best I have ever had. The Sopapilla at the end of the meal is the very best that I have ever had. They were large, light and fluffy. They serve them piping hot with honey butter. Don't fill up on chips and salsa because you will want to save room for these.
