We are out of towners and went with a local friend and had a delicious meal. The grouper was luscious. I typically nibble beans and rice (calories) but these were go good I ate them all. Cole slaw was very good too. Service (Anthony) friendly and thoughtful. We very much enjoyed the surf decor with no tv news but films of surfing.

My first time to this restaurant. Staff was pleasant, and the atmosphere better than expected. My Carnitas burrito was flavorful and meaty, the tortilla cooked perfectly, and the meat was good quality. The veggies were fresh, and the queso was also good. The serving was plentiful. It was supposed to come with sour cream and guac, which I didn't get, and came instead with Queso, which was not on the menu for this item. Oh well. The salsa frankly tasted a little like ketchup. Overall, the food was very good. If you put El Jalisco's salsa with Casa Grande's burrito, it would be equal to San Miguel.

This year's visit was during Happy Hour. Margaritas are $5 and really good! And the nacho car - unlimited nachos you make yourself is even better. I did leave room for food. I had the stacked enchiladas - I make them better. Could have used more chicken, cheese and crema in between the blue corn tortillas (maybe even some avocado slices).I'll try something else next time.

El Jalisco is one of mine and my finace's most favorite Tallahassee restaurants! The food is always delicious, their service very friendly and fast. I have eaten here with large parties, as well as with just a few people and the service consistent and various entrees I've tried always tasty. Love their salsa, too and how they bring out enough bowls for each individual to dip their own. You also can't beat their BOGO margs!
