This family owned and operated restaurant has the best Mexican food in town. The menu has a large selection, and you can't go wrong with anything you choose. They offer the typical selections such as burritos, tacos, enchiladas, fajitas, etc. In addition, you can try the unique Mexican hamburger, stuffed sopaipillas, or a sombrero taco. The chips (homemade) and salsa are very good, and you can request extra hot salsa if you need more spice. For dessert, I highly recommend the fruit filled sopaipillas...a la mode if you like! Delicious!Service is fast and friendly, and the atmosphere is cozy and clean.I have been here many times and go back whenever I get the chance. If you happen to be in Sterling, don't miss this gem!

Used to be a pretty good place to eat. Mexican and Italian food and beverage, with a good selection of microbrews. Things are not so good lately. Last time we visited for dinner, the staff outnumbered the clientele. The menu is nothing like it used to be, and the property is in dire need of attention. I wonât be back anytime soon.
This eatery has about five tables but seems most come in for an order to go. Menu is listed on a board with your basic Mexican fare; tacos, burritos, enchiladas. There are some non-traditional items like the Monster Frito Pie! The service is quick and presented in a take-out container with plasticware. The enchiladas are squished in a small container and served with sauce from refried beans. Different, but tasty. The soft tacos are a large flour tortilla and served with substandard beef, lettuce and tomato. The hard tacos are similar to what you get at the grocery store with the same fillings. The chips for the nachos were okay -- not the best. The cheese served with the chips was good and spicy. No hot sauce, no refills on drinks. Would I go back? Maybe if I needed a quick bite.
At Taco John's®, we serve traditional Mexican food-with a twist. By fusing bold American flavors with south-of-the-border spice, we've defined our signature menu. From our trademark Potato Olés® and freshly prepared tacos to our infamous breakfast burrito
Sometimes we just crave them and could eat a bucket full! Our local Taco John's is very, very clean and the food is always good. Sometimes the service has been not the greatest but not very often.

Food has always been hit or miss. Used to be my husbands favorite though so I went. But even now he refuses to go there due to the rude service. Nasty rude wait staff and if you complain about the food it doesn't get any better.

I went here because i heard it had good food. The counter lady spoke little English. I did get two breakfast burritos, but not what i asked for. Won;t be back.
