Located in the Smart & Final shopping center on the SE corner of Knott & Katella in Stanton CA, Sombrero's is a family-owned, "mom & pop" Mexican restaurant. Besides the usual "gringo menu" of Tex-Mex-style tacos, tamales, burritos, enchiladas, rellenos, rice & beans, salads, et cetera ad nauseum, the family-owners will gladly serve up your own favorite, customized Mexican food items. With advance notice by telephone, you can order almost anything Mexican that you want. My custom Mex-favorites include nopales (prickly pear cactus), chilaquiles (corn tortillas, cheese, chorizo (Mex-sausage) in scrambled eggs), calabacitas (a Mex-style zucchini-squash with cheese, onions, and cilantro in a tomato salsa, chiles rellenos (jack-cheese-stuffed, Ancho chile peppers), and carnitas (over-cooked, shredded pork, fat-rendered). For a customized dessert, pre-order the natillas (a Mex-style crème brûlée) with your choice of chocolate and/or fresh fruit on top. ¡Salud! With advance notice, Sombrero's will customize your in-house dinner or cater to your Mex-fiesta requirements.

I have been eating at this Del Taco since I was 4 years old. Other than new employees and updated paint, it has stayed the same. You can order any of the food they have ever served even thought its not on the menu, nor available at most Del Taco's. Try the BUN TACO one of our families favorites

Family owned and run ice cream shop tucked away in a little shopping center next to Gomen. They specializes in home made ice cream and paletas (popsicles). The ice cream is creamy and rich. My favorite is the Angels Kiss (Beso de Angel) with cherries, raisin, almonds and marshmallows. BUT the best part of this place are the many flavored of paletas. Freezers full of different creamy, fruit only and specialty flavored. My favorites are green tea, taro, Thai tea, all real fruit bars and so much more. Surprised there aren't any reviews for this place. Tip Bring your cooler or make sure you have room in your freezer. It's so hard to chose just one flavor.

I come here regularly as they offer great Mexican food at reasonable prices. The staff are always friendly and efficient. The small outdoor section is great also. Great alternative to slightly more expensive places like El Torito.

We happened by El Torito on a one night stay at a nearby hotel and were pleasantly surprised at the great food and dining experience here. The service was impecible. The chicken fajitas were amazing. We gave a two thumbs up to the chefs on the way out! I'd definitely recommend this restaurant.

This place is awesome! Fresh home made tortillas for 1.25 tacon on Tuesday. Amazing shrimp coctails and tostadas. Everything on the menu amasing. Want to try something incredible ask for a chili relleno burger. Not on menu but they will make it. Great food! Gets busy at times but the beer is cheap.
